Some of them are just a handful of polls reporting. But regardless of the vote count trends are worth watching early.

You can’t read much into some of these super early results. But, the NDP is getting decimated. Zero seats in Atlantic Canada, and seemingly none that are close.

Its elections like this one that bring a privileged white person means the results from the extremes of becoming a US territory to 4 more lost years don’t really affect me. It’s a privilege to not really have something at stake tonight.

The elected scoreboard is 5-2 Liberals. More importantly take notice of Gains and losses.

It is still early with only about 20% of the polls reporting but Sean Fraser is getting beaten by the Conservative. It would be awesome if Fraser got booted. It would probably be a positive result for him though because he could actually get his wish of spending more time with his family just like he wanted a few months ago.

Agreed. I came to the realization years ago that the guy you don't to win is never as bad as you think they will be, and the guy you want to win is never as good as you hoped they would be.
I believe in our checks and balances and that most parties and party leaders eventually come to the same, or at least comparable solutions. They all talk a big talk when they are in the opposition, but once they are in power, it's all the same really. With some differences of course, but big picture, I don't see massive difference.

This is why I feel like it's almost an unnecessary cardiac stress test for some people to watch right now, there's a lot of advance votes that need to be counted.

The NDP getting trounced probably bodes well for the Liberals, would it not? I can’t see how anyone who would normally vote NDP would suddenly switch to the Cons.

They put up a graphic of vote change for some riding and it showed:
NDP -15
Lib +6
Con +12
Others -3
Definitely some NDP -> Con movement.

It’s completely pointless for another couple hours.
Even the guy posting the betting market. It went from 80/20 to 50/50 to 70/30 in an hour. None of this means anything yet.

There’s not a ton of seats to gain there, but yeah, the Liberals are going to lose some ridings to the CPC and gain some from the NDP. Just a matter of finding out how they balance.

If he hangs on to his own seat, the NDP could hold the balance of power with half a dozen seats if things finish close.
