Aww...I miss Saabs. Beautiful cars. Somewhat unconventional, but beautiful none-the-less!

Now that was majestic. My buddy's dad had one of those.
I couldn't drive in the 90s but man, 'it handles magnificently' is a straight-up bold-faced lie!
Still...I thought they were awesome!

Saabs were great until you spilled a drink and filled up the ignition switch.
Because the ignition switch was on the floor!

OK, I had to look that up because I thought there was no way they were making and selling that giant hunk of 1960's engineering and design in 1991, but I guess they did. Chrysler will never cease to amaze me in ways I never could have imagined.

The Jeep Wagoneer single-handedly increased the Earth's temperature by 1 degree. All by itself.
It was that awesome!

My first car was a '99 Saab 9-3 coupe. Had some style, drove relatively well, but had way too many quirky issues (ie like having a floor mounted ignition that kept causing problems) that ruined the ownership.

Those were awesome. My cousin had one with a manual. He lived in Mission, and would leave his doors unlocked to avoid smashy-smashy. He later discovered it was also a great vehicle to sleep in, and many in the community started taking advantage of his unlocked door policy.
The Civic Wagovan was another stellar example of this segment.

Isn't that the Grand Wagoneer? They had the regular Wagoneer Limited which was like a slightly upgraded Cherokee, the Cheroke, the Wrangler, and the hard to find Jeep Camanchie.
If you have every model from Jeeps 1990 lineup in your garage in mint condition...it might not be worth a lot...but it would be extremely rare.

I had a 1994 Grand Cherokee SE. The SE model was a Grand Cherokee on the outside but a base model Cherokee on the inside. It had power, heated side mirrors but crank windows and manual locks.

It wasn't until the early 2020's that I owned my very first car with working A/C. You kind of look back and wonder how you did long highway trips in the middle of summer without A/C.

By 93 hadn't Jeep come out with the Grand Cherokee which was like a modernized Wagoneer. Larger than the Cherokee which they kept, but nothing like the old Grand Wagoneer. I seem to remember those initially being quite popular and a bit of politics as Chrysler and Dodge dealers wanted to be able to sell those, but not let Jeep dealers sell Dodge Rams.
I remember a German exchange student in my high-school who said he'd trade a BMW M3 for one of those new GC's.

I had a 1995! But it was fully loaded. I drove that thing forever. Definitely worth the $3k it cost me. I was really sad when that car got destroyed.
