I think he is top 10 easily, others generally don't which is why I think he is being under rated around the league.

its not that complicated guy. I think he is being under rated for now but people are catching on. If he was dominating like he is now in a big hockey market the TSNs and Sporsnets of the world would figure it out sooner. You make zero sense, I never said I underated him, its guys like you who do obviously.

Having the NHLs best contract is a nice bonus too (according to the hockey news and athletic, don't fight me on this too its subjective)

+/- is a team based stat and generally considered useless for a long time when comparing players on different teams.

His playoff based stats show an incredibly small slice of his career, and while impressive, aren’t indicative of his entire career or how average he has been. His career stats are middling, but I won’t post them here because numbers may confuse you more than you already are.

What stats do you have to show he was the #1 d man on the panthers? What’s the criteria that makes someone a #1 d man? Without a baseline established your points are useless.

Yes he has a good contract for the above average defender he is.

Just briefly saw the Davies/kucherov/geekie altercation. Davies with a clean hit on a physical (but star) player. And he gets jumped by kucherov (who’s a dbag) and then geekie. If it’s a dirty hit that’s one thing… but now a ‘nobody’ trying to make an impact hits somebody cleanly and gets jumped? I get teams are sensitive right now about AHL types injuring stars (Laine), but this is out of hand. NHL needs to throw the book at TB , otherwise it’ll be perceived you can maul a ‘nobody’ for looking the wrong way at a star player. This is different than the Laine and Xhekaj incidents IMO, clean, physical play on a big boy who can handle it.
If you want to send a message to the kid, at least square up with the kid first instead of jumping him. Especially kucherov, who is the opposite of classy. I realize Geekie is a rookie trying to earn a spot as well.
