Soft call in OT. He pushed him down. Then Fox flops to try and get a 2 man advantage.

So much for pumping the brakes on the embellishment this round.

Love Trochek. Wanted the Flames to get him so bad when he was available.

I think this applies to every one around the station.

They can give a good show if you just get them away from Edmonton and Toronto.

The lack of personal investment makes them come across more professional and that's the way it should always be.

I recall Conroy saying they really tried to sign him as a free agent. Not surprising he chose NY over Calgary though...

That Rangers goalie is pretty good, eh? Outstanding OT periods.

Never thought I’d agree with Messier, but that shouldn’t have been a call.

That was a terrible call in OT.

Such is the way of the NHL now. Flops, embellishments, PPs, poor calls. Tough for fans.

I love how they actually had a discussion about the call. Including different opinions. If this was Sportsnet and the Oilers were involved there would be no question about the atrocities that occured.

What a joke call. Wow. If Mess the former ranger even says it’s garbage…. Refs on the Rangers train.
Trochek with the dive. Could the refs from the Dallas series, that actually have the cojones to call embellishment please call the rangers and oilers series?

The problem with the NHL isn't the soft calls, it's the game management. The Rangers had already killed two overtime penalties so it was the time the Canes got one.

^ Right?? I feel like a bigger deal should be made over that. He didn't just miss a hit, he dove at the guy. What was the end game there?

Jeff Marek tried to give him a pass this morning saying he was just trying to brace himself to hit the boards and not hurt himself.

Whatever you say Jeff.

That Trouba attempted decapitaton was the first time I've thought someone should get suspended even though technically nothing happened.

In the real world, you're not saved from being punished just because you failed to break which ever law you tried to break. If you try to run someone off the road, but they manage to avoid the collision, and there's a cop there to see it, you're getting pulled over and charged with something.
