The rule is in place so that teams can't make last minute roster changes. It isn't about the goalies at all.

And that's the point: emergency goalies should be exempt from the rule. That's the point people are making.

Weegar in my opinion further solidifying that he is the #1D in Calgary right now. I very much prefer him over Andersson. Andersson is no slouch though, I just prefer Weegar as the all-situation defenseman.
