1st game I got to see in person this season. Coleman is a wheel this year and had a great game today. Zadorov also another wheel who is playing solid every game. Kadri/Zary/Sarangovich is a lovely line that I hope to see progress.
Team has some ugly bits for sure. Duehr, Backs, and Ruzicka are quiet in a meh way.
Man is Huberdeau turning out to be my least favourite Flame of all time. I'll never cheer against a guy, but wow he's at nearly 100 games as a Flame and has been downright stinky.
If it doesn’t wake him up, build him a ranch style outhouse
The problem is that Huberdeau doesn't need to wake up. He looks like he has a total confidence problem and has lost his game and where he belongs. He said himself in an interview that the play that he sees in his head is not what happens on ice. Where he expects his team mates to be is not where they end up being. The guy just looks dejected and doesn't know what happened to his game or how to fit into this team or play with his team mates anymore.
You can't just wake up from that and go beast mode. You have to reinvent yourself.

Pretty sure I’ve now seen 7 different ways of spelling Sharangovich.

That is what is expected from a professional
Wake up
Kadri engaged 'Beast Mode' and...one of my favourite Flames in Coleman was all over the place once again!
Markstrom I thought was quite good once again, the PP still needs to be better, I thought Tanev and Weegar struggled a little at times, Andersson was on top of his game!
Huberdeau though...We'll have to see how that plays out. Something had to happen. He's at nearly 100 games as a Flame and hasn't worked it out? He wears a letter and is a veteran and the highest paid player...he's gotta figure it out and maybe this was the kick in the ass he needs? I have no idea.
He seems like a guy who is a good teammate and is genuinely trying to figure it out but at the end of the day this is the Pros, it is a results driven league.
His passing is piss-poor at best and his shooting is near-as-makes-no-difference non-existant. If you want 1st line minutes you've gotta earn them.

Nice win and guys now are finding each other and passing was better. Huberdeau was the bad link in PP and wasn't helping the team.
I wish Huska play Huberdeau-Backlund- Coleman/Coronato as line and tell him just contribute shut down other top lines and don't worry about points. Then it may improve his confidence and start to find some kind of role and play simple plays.
My stars of the game is Kadri, Hanifin & Sharangovich.

Funny, I thought Andersson was terrible tonight and thought his game has been declining. He's mistimed rushes, his passing has been awful and too often he's unable to trap a puck at the blue line during a PP. Was definitely not impressive to me tonight.

Same here.
On a good note, Tanev is solid as a rock. Can’t say enough about this guy.

Hopefully the Calgary that cant score or stop pucks and the Nashville team from the recent edmonton game

Major difference between Calgary and Edmonton, Calgary has a goalie that on any given night that can shut you down. He might give up 5 but he might also stop everything and the kitchen sink.

It's really been like this the whole game, Juuse was just saving our ass the whole time. Only so much he could do.

I believe our shot total has actually went backwards this period.

That’s about as close to the Hynes-style Predators we’ve seen this year. Score early, check out, hope Saros can close it out. Unable to do anything in the offensive zone. Be totally outplayed by the other team yet still have a chance to win.

What a wet fart of a last two periods. Thanks Perds.

Pulling Saros is worthless, we can't even keep the puck in the zone.
Just a garbage effort can honestly say we deserved to lose.

This was ugly. We were lucky to get 2 goals.
Top line largely invisible.
And really everyone was sloppy, slow and too easily pushed around.

WTF? I leave for a work call and we are up 2-0 and get out to a 4-2 loss? That blows.

Only 13 SOG from our forwards. 3 of those from Sherwood, 2 each Smith Novak and ROR. Gotta figure out how to get pressure from more than one line per game.
45% at the dot overall …. Pärssinen 0-8. Possession was in the Flames favor all night
Two games below .500 for the season.

Knew that was going to be a tough one after the Flames broke their losing streak in the last game. They were the hungrier team tonight.

I, too, enjoy watching 2 mins of passing around the edge for one SOG into the goalie's logo and 3 shorty chances on Saros. /s

That's gotta be the worst period they've played in a long time. I couldn't stop watching it was just bizarre.
They kept repeating the same breakout attempt over and over and over for a solid 15 minutes. One person takes the puck, charges up center ice, runs into the Calgary D, tries to dump it and fails, gets turned over to Calgary, Calgary turns it back over in the preds end, repeat. It's like their Xbox controller died and they just started coasting into the other end.

Attention Jay Woodcroft - you can bench your top offensive players when they suck.

I just feel bad for whoever they call up. Skinner is more than likely going to start every game until a trade can be worked out, so with both guys playing well in the AHL, one is going to be promoted to bench warmer until skinner plays so poorly he gets pulled, only for the fans to realize the guy we called up either straight up isn’t and never has been good enough for the NHL, or a young guy who just started finding his game again after being demoted to the ECHL two seasons ago.
Neither is a good bet to be even as good as the two sad goaltenders we have right now, but I’d guess they’d be better off letting rodrigue keep building upon his recent solid play and call up Pickard to warm the bench.
