Wait until Sergeev is ready. All our goaltending issues will be solved.

Hopefully Vladar can be moved soon. Totally expect the Flames to keep Vladar all year just to lose him for nothing in free agency while frustrating and stagnating our best prospect.
How does this prevent him from getting nhl playing time
He can go up and down easily

It's full, unless things go really sour with him and the team and he wants out he's not going anywhere. And I doubt Conroy wants to move him anyway.

He’s 22 with just two pro seasons under his belt, of course he still has something to learn that can be learned at the AHL level.

He had a couple bad games in the last series where the Wranglers were eliminated. He also had a rough start last season and a few multi-game stretches where he wasn’t playing at an even average level. Can’t expect even the best starters to keep things above average all the time, let alone elite, but you don’t want to see games where he’s letting in 5+ goals in the AHL.

That doesn’t mean he isn’t ready for the NHL today and wouldn’t be suited to continuing his progression in the NHL, but he for sure has things he can learn and refine while getting playing time in the AHL.

Hopefully that is the plan. Get him some games with the big team until the goalie situation cleans itself up

It's just hard to give the Flames the benefit of the doubt in terms of goalie development when the Flames haven't drafted AND developed a single starting goalie in 30 years despite tons of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks being used.

We should have known something was wrong with Kidd based on that choice of hairstyle and hat position alone. WTF is this picture?

Flames have two NHL goalies under contract, one of them with a NMC. They have an exciting prospect who is waiver exempt. They each performed about the same in preseason, plus the differing levels of competition made it really hard to judge. Of course waiver exempt gets moved.

It’s not like Wolf forced their hand here.

Elementary school me really liked Trevor Kidd. When my soccer coach had the same last name I wondered if they were related and was excited to ask.
