Hugely flawed $10.5M player, which is really scary for this franchise.

The Panthers were as successful in the playoffs as the Flames last year. Not sure there is one type of game that can be successful in the playoffs and if there is it was not the game the Flames played last year.

I really hope so. I've been saying it since the summer, that the team really needs a couple of prospects to step up into mid-six roles to push them over the edge towards being a championship team.....that was before I knew Huberdeau and Markstrom's play would fall of a cliff.

The Flames are finally at a point where they seem to have the prospects ready to fill out depth roles....not let's just get the 10.5 million dollar guy going.

I had a chance to watch the highlights and noticed the young guys with speed and making all the plays. Might just be the young guys that propel the team to the playoffs. With the farm team winning they have got a different mindset coming in. If Darryl can feel good about these guys it might just open the door for some of the others. I hope they can keep it up.
