Years ago the Saddledome zamboni entrance was located in the corner of the other zone (where the club seats are). It was early 2000s when they moved it to where it is today.

From what I am know most (or all?) other NHL arenas have the zamboni entrance in the home team attacking end (1st and 3rd period) for the reason that those bounces happen.

Not sure why the Flames made the change!

New ice plant around then, I think.

It’s a little more than that with Ovie, TBF. He’s been very public about a personal friendship. Way more than other NHLers.

Flames fans haven’t been booing other Russians as far as I can tell.

They are booing him because he had the opportunity to firmly oppose the war, but he was instead extremely wishy-washy with his statement since he loves Putin. Zadorov made a much better statement on the war.
