Pisses me off when ppl say "gifted" those were penenalties. Period. They weren't ticky tack calls. Yes Flames didn't capitalize but in ot there was a clear trip and Interference all on the same rush.

Call the book.

I don't know but you should ask Leah Hexstall

If you only score once on six PP opportunities, you’re playing with fire…

Yes, call out the OT reffing, but that game should never have gone to OT.

But hey—a point in a loss is better than no point in a loss. Onto the next!

(And also: Flames/Preds rivalry heating up…now in what season have I heard that before…)

Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug.

Markstrom was the windshield against Pittsburgh. Tonight was Saros's turn. It happens.

^ Agreed. Saros was fun to watch tonight. Best player on the ice. By a country mile, and the Flames were very good. But Saros. Out ####ing standing

That’s not a 45 save “oh yeah, look at his stats” game. It was skill and elbow grease. So many breakaways, so many odd man rushes

Flames clearly the better team, Saros just stole it

Park it and move on.

If the Flames are going to lose a game they dominate, at least they got a point out of it.

Two of Kylington's points actually came as Stone's partner.

OT losses are much better than regulation time losses. Those points will add up.

I thought it was an exciting game overall, other than the BS missed call leading directly to a goal at the end. Once again the officiating sucked. Calls missed on both sides throughout the game. But that last one stings.
Ritchie got beat up real bad and hope he's okay.

Can't remember the last time I saw 3 breakaways in a row. Too bad the Flames couldn't score on any of them in the 1st period. Preds did a good job defending them though. Saros had a great game. Preds are lucky to have had such great goaltending over the years. Pretty much since they have come into the league.

Beauty shot by Kyllington on his goal. More of that please!

I'll gladly take the point and move onto the next.

When you have 6 PP opportunities, the most likely result is 1 goal.

So refreshing that they dominated and lost but got a point. For the past few years it's been the other way around, they steal a point they clearly don't deserve. You can feel good about the loser point when the team deserves it.

Except they deserved more; Saros really stole it. Markstrom was just average for the first time in a while. That was the difference .

At least they salvaged a point, but the refs were on a mission tonight. And I'm not one to complain about the refs, because usually it goes both ways. The 2 blown calls directly leading to the OT goal was ridiculous, if I was that bad at my job I'd be fired.

I get that those refs don't want to make that call in OT because there's a good chance the Flames win it on the ensuing 4 on 3 but the trip creates the 2 on 1 that ends the game. You MUST make that call. Period. End. Stop.

Basically everything was good about that game.

Gaudreau looks like he wants to be the best player in the world.

Backlund and co. just suffocating the other team.

Kylington.

Lots to like. Brutal non call. It happens. I think there are a lot of refs that could stand to lose jobs. But here we are.

I don’t get it. Missing the call results in the same issue the other way, but it’s worse because it’s a false ending. Make the call.
