Wow, you guys could not have summarized the exact opposite of my views about burritos more perfectly. The rice and beans are the mortar that hold the whole thing together, a delivery system for the more flavourful aspects of the burrito that make it filling and easy to manage in addition to being delicious.
You're trying to build a house without a foundation, and it will fall.

I had such high hopes for Carl's Jr. when it came to Canada because of all the hype that it came with.
The burgers remind me a lot of Burger King, but they offer more types of pub style appies.
A little over priced though.
I have never tried Jack-in-the-Box. Is it any good?
I like JITB. If they were here they would likely be my go to fast food place. I'm not going to lie and say their food is on the level with Five Guys but the price is right and they have a good variety of burgers and chicken sandwiches and it's the only fast food place you can get a burger and a decent taco (their tacos are way better than Taco Bell).
No Tijuana flats in YYC, we have a few really good tequila bars that also serve some wicked mexican food (anejo and blanco) but they're not fast food at all. We have Taco Bell, Taco Time and Taco Del Mar. They are all used to clean you out before a colonoscopy and not fit for human consumption.

There are 7 burger joints in the poll, how much grease do you need? at least Arbys is a nice change once in a while. besides the mentioned great arbys sauce they also make a mean loaded baked potato.
If y’all are sleeping on Mary Browns, step your game up. It’s Canadian to boot.
Best chicken in Canada by far is a little place called A&K lick a chick (no I'm not kidding with the name) after tasting this chicken I seriously wanted a franchise to bring back to Calgary, I asked the young lady serving me about it and she said: your probably about the 10,000 person asking about it, the owner has said no for many many years
A little youtube search

If you really want to up your chicken burger game then you need to try the Crispy Southern Fried Fillet Sandwich at Fatburger. Add bacon and pepperjack cheese.
Life changing.
The Blackened Cajun Cheddar chicken burger there is an amazing experience.
I have never had a better chicken burger in my life. For fast food the taste is amazing, good quality too.
I have never been disappointed by Fatburger. If you have never been there try it. South Street Burgers and Smash Burger could learn from them how to make burgers.
I'm pretty sure that is an option anywhere you order a burrito. You get to decide what goes inside the tortilla. I made one the other day with some leftover bacon. It was better than I hoped!
Bacon, leftover or not, makes anything and everything better. IMHO
Noticing the comments about A&W burgers being too salty: I worked at an A&W about 25 years ago, and it wasn't uncommon for customers to request light seasoning or no seasoning on the patty. Same with onion rings. If you like everything about A&W except the saltiness, just ask.
This was also a trick that some former employee customers used to make sure that they got a 'fresh' patty rather than one that had been sitting in the warmer, because they're seasoned while cooking, so a non-seasoned one always needed to be made fresh.
