ASBSD damn near made the save on the Nylander goal too. He got over awfully quick. It was impressive.

Yep, anytime you beat the Leafs in Toronto with officiating that bad, you have to enjoy it. Flames are tied for first, getting awful seasons out of a pile of players, and don’t have a head coach, enjoy the chaos!

He looked good tonight though. Rittich robbed him on multiple occasions.

I get what you’re saying, but before these last couple games the Flames had an impressive number of straight games with 4 goals or more (sorry I don’t have the number in front of me). This same group was the second highest scoring team in the NHL last season.
Tonight the high danger scoring chances were only 14-12 for the Leafs. It did seem more lopsided to me, it probably because Rittich had to make much more 10 bell type saves.
I do think help is needed in the top 6, and I believe help will be here shortly, how ever I don’t agree that the lack of scoring in games is due to coaching. I also don’t think this team should make a second in season coaching change in one season.

Big Save Dave was on tonight. Wins in Toronto do not happen as often as most of us would like them to. So hsppy to get it this season.

I thought after Ball mentioned it he was definitely going to jinx the Flames and he would end up scoring.

Paraphrasing here because I can’t find a direct quote, but in the post game scrum.
Reporter: Any of the saves stand out to you tonight?
Rittich: I dunno, ask my groin.

That last SO save against Marner has me a bit worried that something might have gotten tweaked. Hopefully I’m just being paranoid though.
