Nashville is so damn fast. They will embarrass this team. We will run around in our own end all night unable to get to a puck first.

This feels like a good time for the team to string together a couple of wins and suck the fans back in.

Yeah Ottawa immediately got better by firing Cameron. This is a no brainer. Get Gelinas back in there. Anyone really. CP has better plans than Dave.

To me, it was a tough call to make that late in a game. It was pretty soft. I know that's not "right", but it's the reality of how games are called. It just sucks that they scored right after. If they didn't, I don't think anyone is talking about it at all.

And you know what, it goes further than just winning some more. The team could actually play the 4th line without being afraid. The guys could get loose and shake some slumps. When you are up by 3 everyone seems to look and feel better.
Instead we play tight games where everyone is afraid to make a mistake. When did we even have a 3 goal lead?

Things I want to see happen:
- Acquire Mike Hoffman
- Remove Dave Cameron
- Recall Andrew Mangiapane

I didn't think it was a terrible game really. So much salt in this thread for a one goal game that was competitive until the end.

How can a team look so good on the road and completely flat at home? Isn’t it supposed to be the opposite?

This team needs to really put together a proper winning streak because they're pretty much clinging to the cliff for dear life for staying in the hunt.
Problem is, through December and most of January is a murderer's row of adversaries. If our PP doesn't come back to life to augment the scoring (or at the very least generate some good looks and doesn't sap the confidence of the entire bench) and we start gifting turnovers away again like tonight, team will be on the outside looking in again by the time February rolls around.
We aren't even doing much better than this time last year, and that was with the horrible start to the season. This season we've rode a hot start into waves of mediocrity and reached practically the exact same outcome.

Think Ottawa would take Lazar back for Hoffman?

Debatable. Looked like Johnny was either tripped or pushed. I thought pushed, hence no call.
This is a game where face offs were huge. On that 5 on 3, winning a couple draws gets control and maybe we score. Then Sharks score on 2nd unit PP by winning the draw.

Like first off. We lose to many games because of the PP. I get it Versteeg is great. Let’s find someone else.
Also think that could’ve been called a trip on Johnny’s late turnover. And also think Donskoi slashed Smith to score that goal which I don’t like either.

Hrvik could be a solid upgrade on Stajan...
Brouwer-Hrvik-Jagr could be a good 4th line

Strange that the two players that are most responsible for our success this year i.e. Gaudreau and Smith are the goats.
I was so looking forward to winning in the 3 on 3 overtime before the late goal.
I would chalk this game up to bad luck, a hot goalie, and a more mature and better coached opposition.
