Haha, are the Oilers still using the flu excuse? I know he's the only reason they ever score goals or win the odd game once in a while. But if he's actually sick, perhaps he should go see a freakin' doctor and take at least one game off to recover.

The key for me tonight will be seeing if Gulutzan and the coaching staff use the same line tactics they did against Sidney Crosby and the Penguins.
Backlund shadows McDavid every shift all game long. Has to happen.

It really should. With McLellan having last change in the home opener he was able to avoid Backlund for the most part. In the few sequences that 3M was actually out at the same time as McDavid's line, McDingleberry and friends were annihilated possession wise.

At the game tonight and just noticed that every single meathead on the Oilers (Kassian, Maroon, Lucic, Nurse and Gryba) are the only ones not wearing helmets during warmup. I know that means absolutely nothing but it made me chuckle.
