GG had said something recently about the team letting big games get to them in terms of nerves. This is a big game, so hopefully the team comes out prepared.

Feels like gaudreau has that one last gear to hit before he becomes art ross caliber. Goes on tear for a while then has a couple dry weeks that set him back. Mcdingus and Crosby are slower but steady in their production which is why they rise through the rankings and end near the top. Also that ability to be able to solve most/all teams. Johnny hasn't been great vs the oilers for a while so let's see if he can pass that next hurdle.

They did just fine in the Anaheim game earlier this year, so there's no reason they can't overcome the nerves and show up ready to play tonight. If they can't bring their A game against their biggest rival in front of their home fans, then they have no business being in the playoffs.
McLotteryball loves playing against the Flames because we make it too easy for him. Tonight is the perfect opportunity to finally change that. Play him tight, play him smart, rough him up a little, and try to limit the turnovers in the neutral zone. If they can do that, they'll win.
Also, the offence needs to light it up tonight. Shoot early and shoot often.
