Bad game. The worst thing is the body language, it's 6 games in and the flames look like they don't give a ####!

I don't know they've looked pretty slow to start the season. Brodie seems to be losing a lot of races so far this season.

No point. With the lottery odds and Vegas joining we'll likely draft fourth or fifth. We're effed for the next five years at least.

Pretty tough to start games down 1-0 or 2-0 because our special teams are so bad.

Mix in your best players playing badly, no real system, no confidence and you got yourself a bad hockey team.

It's early, but can't do this much longer without giving your season away before American Thanksgiving.

The brain trust needs to take a good hard look in the mirror and fix this...now.
Flames have bad defence though, so goaltending does not matter. I would love to have Darryl Sutter come in, but I doubt the Kings fire him.

But make no mistake this is Treliving's team. He can blame the problems in not making the conference finals in his first year on Feaster as that was mainly a Jay Feaster team, but this is Treliving's team now.

Oh, he also had 2 assists tonight

Some of the player assessments around here are way off base.
I didn't say he had a bad game, he's better on the wing where he can use his speed. It was more of a comment about using him better in the lineup. He's dynamic and could produce more when he doesn't have to worry about centre responsibilities.

I hope if it was for real, Krueger.

When we inevitably lose the next 3 or 4 in a row... who gets axed/traded? This is a cap team, and this roster is closer to the finished product than a rebuild, whether we want to admit that or not. This is not acceptable and it's going to cost someone their job if we don't turn it around immediately.
Even if we go 2-2 in the next 4, we still have to put together a .618 season to make it to 96 points from that point. This team has firmly put itself behind the 8 ball in just 6 games. They lose the next 4? The season is done. This is Oiler level futility.

I wouldn't mind separating Gaudreau and Monahan. What if the problem isn't the right side, but the two themselves?

Didn't agree with firing Hartley, but was hoping Treliving made the right call.

He wanted to improve special teams and defensive zone coverage, and they're both worse. There is nothing impressive about this team. They don't compete hard, they aren't physical, they aren't fast.

The worst I've felt about this team since 2002 or so.

Look on the bright side. That means we're going to the Stanley Cup Final in two years!

Tkachuk and Kulak must've learned so much good hockey stuff from our textbook performance in the press box.

Mistakes throughout. A bit more inspired play, especially toward the end of the game.

Hamilton giving up the puck while breaking up ice is almost a guaranteed breakaway. Turning that big slow rig around to cover up for mistakes is not going to happen.

Seems we have achieved more truculent play. Baerchi gone, Byron gone, Grandlund gone. We have bigger players, and we let in a tonne of goals. hmmm..

Celebrating our 1 win, that we shouldn't have won due to a blatant crosscheck, seems to have been premature to this team's future fortunes. However, some will say it is still too early to tell.
