Sucks that this generation had about a 4 year lifecycle.
Makes sense that no new games for XBox One were announced yet - since they will want to announce a bunch of new titles at E3 2017 to coincide with the launch of Project Scorpio.

Is the new Xbox One S faster hardware? Like the PS4 Neo where it'll have faster CPU GPU etc?

Project Scorpio will for the most part though.
Sure the games will work on both but everything will be optimized and the best on Scorpio.

Naw, this is not the model you are looking for. This is just the codename "Edmonton" (seriously) console that is NO GOOD. Scorpio is coming soon next year.
(I can't believe that this "slim" version is still larger than the current PS4 though.)

Project Scorpio will probably be fairly expensive, I bet a lot of people won't upgrade.

Maybe it's because it's based on a horror movie franchise but it doesn't disturb me the same way a game like Hatred did. I'll probably never play that game. I find it insulting to the victims of mass killings and their loved ones.

I may get the Xbox One S since I have a 4k tv and game on Xbox One already. But very curious to see what Sony has in store for a PS4K as I wouldn't mind having a Playstation platform too.
Scorpio is too far away for me to even speculate on, even if its really good I probably wouldn't buy one at launch anyways.
