Mostly the term, but sometimes also the whole idea of it. I think most men appreciate a place to get away from the noise, or work, or focus on their hobbies...whether it be called an office or a garage or workshop or whatever. Making it look like a Chuck e Cheese is where it gets a little weird to me. It's just sad when it becomes this shrine to lost-dreams, or a place to hide from their wives.

Granite counter tops look really nice to me. What's the better alternative?
|
Mostly just an aesthetic preference (I prefer quartz or marble) and the fact that it's one of those "must haves" on pretty much every one of those House Hunter TV shows. People don't care what the house looks like as long it has stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops!

The Beatles. I don't get the love for them. Yes they did help define and inspire many different genres of music but hot damn their music is like the soundtrack to a coma.

Ciabatta bread is great......if you like sandpaper destroying the roof of your mouth while eating bread that tastes like it's been sitting in the sun for a week.

The new Tims Spicy Chicken Sandwich has ciabatta bread and I've had it 3 times since the change and all 3 times it was burnt and hard. Gross.

The cajun chicken chedder sandwich from Earls comes on a ciabatta bun. I will admit it is the only instance in the world I enjoy them.

So many posters dislike Sliver, but he's clearly one of CP's best, and his threads are mostly hits in a world where most people won't even entertain the idea of starting a thread.

Deadpool. Sounds like a good movie but I never got into him, or will. Dislike the character.
Stop asking me to go.

Hanging out at a bar/pub all the time - my old business partner would go hang out at our local bar every 2nd day and get drunk. He thought it was the greatest place ever. I thought being in there was depressing when it was sunny out and just boring the rest of the time.

Actually, yes. I loathe all superhero movies. They are a blight on our civilization, and a sign of the end times. Grow up, men!

I agree, I have never understood the need to hide away from you family.

I've come to the realization that as good as Italian food is (Im talking italian-italian, not gangster italian) they just don't really make good bread. It's all just kind of stale and hard.

I think there is something really nice to a somewhat hard loaf drizzled with olive oil.
