Has Izzy ruled out coming back? He did do random shows with the new GNR line up over the last few years.

This isn't the 80's anymore Axl. Not even the biggest pop acts in the world can come close to consistently selling out a 40,000+ stadium tour. Let alone a band that was popular more than 20 years ago.
AC/DC just did this. Tons of GnR fans out there.

There are a ton of GNR fans out there...how many would spend $300 a ticket to see them though (the rumored average ticket price)? I'm not too sure, especially with it being a 50/50 proposition you spend that money for nothing because Axl is Axl. If $300 is indeed their target for an average, this could be a mega flop.

AC/DC's latest tour had an average ticket price of $78.

$300 is a little rich, yeah. Someone in the band is getting bad information (or maybe they're just greedy). With tickets a 3rd of that price they'd clean up.

Yeah that's insane. GNR's target demographic isn't exactly the highly affluent...

But it's also obvious why they are doing this, they wanna cash in. Fair enough. The one thing I guess that's good about $300 tickets is those are DOA for secondary market. No one is paying $600 for this.

Isn't Axl's voice pretty much shot at this point?

Pop acts vs. Guns and FingR who haven't played together in over 20 years

ACDC has done it recently
Metallica has done it in europe recently (and sold out yankee stadium with the big 4)

Why the fack not? tickets won't be $300 average that is mis-information

the big question is will axl actually show up on time and put on a half decent show...Slash is as good or better than ever

I would suggest you might be surprised what their target demo is.

It always does. But GN'R is still a big deal. Can't wait to watch the stream.

Guns N' Roses, featuring reunited members Slash and Duff McKagan, have announced two concerts ahead of their headlining Coachella gig. The band will play the 20,000-seat T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on April 8th and 9th. Tickets will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. PST.

The group announced the dates with a Facebook post that declared, "Welcome back to the jungle!" It also included a 30-second video ad showing Axl Rose singing "Welcome to the Jungle" alongside imagery of Slash and McKagan playing onstage. "They're back," says an announcer in voiceover. Slash also confirmed the news on Twitter.

Tickets between $80USD and $350.

Depends on the show. He apparently has a lot of issues getting it ready for shows from what I've heard so he can be hit or miss now. I do think people expect him to be in the upper register all the time and he's quite honestly never done that during tours..even when he was young. From what I've seen of the LAs Vegas stuff he seems to be still in reasonable voice overall.

Izzy...he doesn't like touring. He's a guy who if in town will jump on the stage but isn't relentless in making sure he plays live.

The problem isn't the economic demographic of the potential audience or the ticket price, it's the 3 or 4 to one chance that it all falls apart a few weeks, days, hours or even a few songs into the show, Axl calls Slash, the audience or Hillary Clinton a d'bag and walks off.

Presale for the 2 Vegas shows started this morning. Had to check, each floor ticket is $278.20 USD including all ripoff fees. That's $393.41 CAD with the exchange rate at the moment.

Insane. Both shows will still sell out within hours though. I won't be there.

Do you have the password? I think i'm going to head down for it. A younger version of myself made a promise to himself that if this ever happened he'd be there.

Sorry, just saw your post. It was around noon when I was checking and the presale had no pairs available after 2 hours, the presale is actually over now anyways.

You have to try tomorrow morning with the general sale. Don't forget, they're planning stadium shows this summer, one of them is bound to be closer, maybe not as fun as Vegas though.
