Shore was a hot commdity last year. Flames didn't play him up in the bigs right away so they didn't have to let him pass through waivers last year. Bt said he had a dozen teams call for Shore and we got him for almost nothing because he was a nhl caliber player stuck in Florida's log jam.

According to Hockey's Cap waiver calculator, he's still exempt until the end of this season.

He is a skater and therefore he is waiver exempt until whichever comes first in the following:

160 NHL games (102 remaining)

• 2013-14 games played: 7
• 2014-15 games played: 51

3 years (1 year remaining - Following the 2015-16 season)
