This reminds me of the 2010 Olympics when Canada's women hockey team was accused of running up the score. It's a horrible argument that you should ever go against your instinct to score just to appear graceful.

Not to forget that these goals are part of individual stats, too. Someday, maybe a guy like Ferland is up for some scoring record. Why hold back?

You take the goal 100% of the time.

Was going to post that but couldn't remember who it was.

If we were in the Canucks position and one of the Sedins scored I wouldn't even be mad.

I'd be more mad at our guys for not scoring.

I know this whole notion was mentioned on a Vancouver radio station, but other than a few guys on the radio, is anyone even talking about this?

Wasn't that Alex Korolyuk? And his white gloves?

For gamesmanship Ferland should of fired the puck into the corner as a seasoned vet!

As a rookie you fire that biscuit home!

I have no issues with this at all!

Were we running up the score? Close fought game till the dying minutes.

No issues here. I had more issues with Monahan passing the puck to hudler to secure the win. I know why he did it, but you shoot that puck and put the nail in the coffin. I get it I do, don't like it though! Bonehead play by Monahan. You don't criticize a win though! It all worked out! That dman breaks up that pass though my god!

Maybe Cheechoo assisted it? Not sure why I think it was Cheechoo but all I remember for sure was Iggy giving him a little shove afterwards. Just put it in the net. No need for cocky theatrics. That goes for any empty netter.
