Don't really care about he Canucks outcome. A Flames W negates the Canucks win tonight.
Really care about WPG losing though, that'd be a huge one for the Flames.

There is nothing worth watching in this game. Everybody switch to the superior Jets-Lightning game or the Habs-Islanders game.

Yeah, it was a strange hit. Looked like a good hip on replay, but Sheifle went down as if he got hit right on his knee. So either it is a good hip check with bad luck and should have been no penalty, or it was a low bridge and should have been a major. What they did call made no sense.

I keep thinking I'm watching the Kings vs the Jets and can't decide who I want to win.
The Bolt jerseys are such a blatant copy it makes the Flames copying the Devils design look minor league in comparison.

The vast majority of people who are watching the game are in Ontario. By starting it at 4pm in Vancouver it can start at 7pm there. If they waited until 7pm PDT it wouldn't start until 10pm out there. How does that make any sense? It would then also clash with the Calgary game. This way you can see the Toronto game and then watch the west coast game, as is done many Saturdays. People in Vancouvrr can easily make a 4pm Saturday start and then still have all of Saturday evening to do whatever. I wish the Calgary game was on so I wouldn't have to wait until 7pm to watch it.

Yeah. 6PM on a Friday is asinine. 5PM on a Saturday, I would be perfectly fine with. Still better than the 2PM home game we have next weekend.

It makes sense because Montreal and Ottawa play at 2200h, 10:00 PM eastern when they are in Vancouver. There are plenty of people who work on Saturdays in Vancouver. It is nice to have split telecasts involving another canadian team when the Flames game is on.

vancouver/toronto at 4pm PST/7pm EST is their highest drawing team ratings wise and their highest drawing western team
in a time frame where they can max out both realistically

I agree with you on the early start yesterday. The Leafs-Oilers game starts at the normal time on Monday at 7:30 Mountain.
