Eff that. I appreciate this is a discussion board, but we have the whole off-season to chew over whether we were satisfied or disappointed with how the season transpired.
This team will make the playoffs. I don't care how irrational that sounds, how well other teams are playing, or what stats or arguments there are to prove it won't happen. Rational doesn't explain why Lance Bouma has 14 goals this season. Rational doesn't explain how this team has still managed a 7-2-3 record since this thread was created. Rational says Johnny Hockey doesn't score three straight goals, including two in the final two minutes, and that we beat the defending Stanley Cup champions. Rational says a 4-0 lead in Ottawa is safe.
I'd prefer to believe, while we still can, that this team will make the playoffs and probably do it in dramatic fashion.
Remember, Red. Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.
GFG!

I totally agree, that thread is premature and for all the doubters out there!!
We are far from being out of the playoff picture, in fact the closest in what like 7 years? This is fun.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Let the doubters eat crow when the flames make the playoffs in dramatic fashion. Wouldn't expect anything less. GFG!
Johnny will be a big part of this team's final push for the playoffs. He seems to elevate his play as the games get bigger. That top line is going to put the team on it's back and carry them into the playoffs. Starts tonight with reminding dubnyk that he still has some oiler in him.

Amen to that, Mattman. These Flames can do this! We've got heart, a great coach, and players willing to step up when it counts. Johnny, I smell a hatty in your immediate future!
