Voted none, it's time to let that era go and focus on this new group. Bouwmeester would be an upgrade yes but I'd still prefer he not come back to CGY.

And you seem to forget how he played under Hartley. He is not a shut down D-man and Sutter forced him into that role for 3 years, even when it was obvious it wasn't working.
We want the Bouwmeester that we had for 33 games under Hartley, the 15 goal 40 point Bouwmeester. I would take him over Wideman 10 times out of 10

If he was circa 2004, none other than The Polish Hammer, Krzysztof Oliwa.

Since no Chris O' Sullivan option, easily went with Iginla. This team could use him and his grit.
2nd would be Paul Ranheim, just talking to the B's the bench..."look, you can't make a career out of speed and blocking shots!"

I'm gonna vote Iginla. Because I think he's classy enough to let Gio own the team, and just play hard hockey, scoring or not. Surely scoring though.
I respect the opinions of the Bouw crowd though. Personally I think his game fits with Hartley, his plays. But his leadership and intensity are lacking. He could play second fiddle here, but could he play 3rd?
Honestly though, I'm happy with what we have, and I don't reminisce much, but this thread asks, so I reply.

Cammy. He seemed to be the most willing to play with the incoming young guys while some of the others were more resentful. If that's the right term.

Iggy makes me wonder if he came back to this new, youthful, happy and energetic team would it inspire him to play better?
I mean look at Hudler, but then again Colorado has a pretty young group, but they don't Have Gaudreau and co who are I think great for team morale.
I voted none, J-bo drove me mad when he was here, his lack of passion and stone face, his unwillingness to use his big body to actually HIT people drove me to drink.

You know what – I look at that list and see great players. Some are a bit over the hill, but most are still contributing and producing.
They're great players, but I'm happy to move on. It is a new era here and I don't think any of those guys (or their salaries) fit in with what's being built.
