Super frustrating game. I know some folks (i.e. Oilers fans) love these out of control, high scoring games. But to me it just shows a lack of discipline all around. Hiller was awful, but really what the hell were the Flames doing after they tied it up? Just no mental discipline.

So disappointing to see how this team has fallen over the last month. I hope they stem the tide soon and push for a playoff spot.

Relieved, checks the boxscore again one minute after we tied it 5-5...

####ing goddang atrocious. How do you not learn after the first five times in the game?
I'm TO'd with this team. Not watching the inevitable disaster tomorrow's gonna be. Man, why'd they have to go and make me actually think playoffs were a possibility with that 17-8-2 start? What a tease. No no, let's just stop doing everything we were doing right and squander this glorious 6 game homestand with this shiny league hockey in our own barn.

And how exactly does one outsuck Al freaking Montoya? I have no more words. G'night.

-Smid isn't good. I feel strange saying I want Diaz back. Smid is all heart no head or hands. Hard work but block and dump are all he knows.
-Hiller needs some time off
-Wideman and Russell seem off
-Colborne looked good

Get McGrattan off of waivers and put him in the gd lineup.
I wonder if the team was rattled by this? Just idle speculation.

A brutal performance. We ran into an awful goalie. Montoya was the only reason we came out of the first period tied at 2. We should have taken advantage of one of if not the worst goalie performances we faced this season.

Instead, of taking advantage of our lucky first period, we continue with a half assed performance almost everywhere on the ice. Eventually Hiller joins the gong show and the rest is history.

Play like this tomorrow and the Canucks will murder us. Again.

Our top 4 D look tired and our bottom pairing is atrocious.

I am also kind of embarrassed by how much my emotions are affected by the games...I'm a grown man FFS.

Panthers didn't pull Montoya out and he looks shaky. Maybe the adventureous flight Ortio just had, made Hartley to give Ortio a break. Can't blame the coach on this lost. The whole team was awful and erratic. In the past, we can get away with that crap because we had Kipper to the rescue. Tonight we had a shaky And bad Hiller who was fighting the puck. Too bad because when Hiller is on he can stop everything even when he is already down. But when he is off like tonight, it made you think Bruce Boudreau is a genius for using 2 rookie goalies in the last season's playoff over Hiller. It'll be interesting to see if Hartley starts Ortio or Hiller tomorrow night. Flames motto "Earned and Not Given" is a lie if Hiller starts tomorrow vs Canucks because I didn't Hiller earned the starting position tomorrow.

Jesus Murphy what is the alcohol content of that beer? Had 2, felt like 5.

What a game though. So close. I love your city, Calgary .

Granted maybe Hartely was thinking about putting Ortio in for Vancouver and didn't want to play him tonight.
He has 9 NHL games. You don't want his first game this year to be in some track meet game where he's not prepared. He was there in case of injury and wasn't going in otherwise.

Start Ortio, he can't do worse than losing.

Cooled down a bit, but man what a frustrating game to lose.

The Raymond experiment needs to end. The guy is useless.

Byron misses one more breakway and I'd send him down too. The guy clearly can't put the puck in the net. At least he brings energy though.

I saw something similar on Twitter. Sounds like one guy picked up and tossed another guy down a couple of rows.

It was hilarious. The guy got body slammed over a railing. We were watching and laughing from one of the boxes below and to the right. Was quite entertaining. The whole area was empty of people after too.

Game was exciting but sloppy all around. Flames should have capitalized on the shaky panthers goalie but instead played terrible all around. Can't blame the goalie when your defence is pathetic in the game.

Edit: if it makes any difference neither of the fighters were wearing jerseys and looked like "bros" from my vantage point.

There was another altercation in the lower bowl right near the end of the game. A guy was throwing some haymakers at someone, and got arrested.
