Fairly concerned already - Colborne and Backlund will hurt us even further.

Kids are playing tight, just saw one of their own get on the bus for Addy earlier in the day.

It's fine for them to be pushed out, when its a legitimate star / much better player incoming - even they understand that. But... they've outplayed those that are returning (outside of Raymond) by a wide margin in a no longer small sample size.

Sorry Josh, know your on pace for 30+ this year, but your heading for a backseat when Backs returns, he's got 40+ over his 5 year career.

The things some of you panic and worry about would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.

He got Stephane Robidas twice really good within 20 seconds.

Good game other than 2nd period. That was downright terrible play by the flames.

Flames didn't bury their chances. Gaudreau was a treat to watch. I literally move to the edge of my seat when this guy gets the puck, as he has the ability to create something every time. Sure feels like a lot of his play making goes to waste due to folks not being ready for some unreal passes.

Thought Brodie/giordano had a bit of an off night, but I think the flames have struggled at the acc for half a decade now.

Can't believe someone actually felt that gardinder was better than Brodie at some point. No comparison.

Sad to see the first back to back loss, hope they get back in the win column in buffalo.

Two games in a row now where the Flames have played well enough to win, but just couldn't score enough goals. So is this simply because we faced two red hot goaltenders? Or is the Flames' offensive output coming back down to earth like the experts predicted? I'm not panicking or anything, but there was definitely a lack of finish with Calgary's offensive players over the last couple of games. Just some food for thought.

The Vets bring this team down, minus Gio - Brodie - Russell. Might have been due to whom was on the ice at the time, but where was the response against Phaneuf on his two hander on Gaudreau. Johnny should be untouchable.

Missed pretty much the whole game except the big push in the 3rd period. I actually saw the Granlund goal when I snuck out to check the score. Sounds like a close game unfortunately Flames got scored on two empty netter to look like a blowout game. I like that the Flames keeps coming back late in the game but it is something that the Flames should accustommed to.
So a back-to-back losses and some of the Flame fans are getting restless. I knew that when some of the veterans started coming back and they started losing, some people will start blaming them for the losses. Sorry boys there are some nights that some of the players having a good season will have an off night. I guess or I am sure we will have a different game vs Buffalo on Thursday.

You aren't going to win very many games if you don't play all 60 minutes.

I hope the team is pissed f---ing off and come out against Buffalo like gangbusters. It's okay for fans to think "good effort, ran up against a hot goalie, I ain't even mad". But losing has to be completely unacceptable to the team and I'm sure Hartley will ensure that's the case.

If you want an example of a team "used to losing games" just look at the tire fire in Edmonton...

Dude. I'm sure it was pointed out many times in the GT or even in this thread but man....when our 3rd pairing is out there I'm holding my breath every time as the opposing team either burns them wide or is passing it around in our end. I want to like Smid but they are such a liability.

Also I thought Hudler had one of his more lackluster efforts of the year last night. He just didn't seem to have it, he's such a quietly important player for us. Raymond looked decent in his return, Granlund was a beast in the third wow, Jooris and Johnny looked good, Russell had a good game, can't even remember Glencross touching the puck.

Move on we absolutely need 2 points on Thursday.

This is an absolutely silly post. Backlund has completely earned his spot and his minutes. You don't take those away because the guy is injured and you give him a chance to get them back.

With Raymond did he struggle last night, absolutely and he was shifted to the fourth line, but before he went down he was probably one of the Flames better forwards.

It would be equivalent if Johnny Hockey went down and when he came back you said, Sorry Johnny you can't play you lost the spot due to injury.

As far as the two games, did the Flames deserve a better fate, Absolutely. They played toe to toe with the Sharks, and they were the better team against the Leafs who got hot goaltending.

Maybe we've become a little spoiled by the early season success, but the team has reacted well to adversity. The game against the Sabres will be interesting because there's no way that they're looking past it.

The fact that this is the first time that the Flames have lost two in a row this season is actually stunning, but it was going to happen eventually, that's why it was great that they banked the points that they did.
