I love the leave early haters. Maybe they have a perfectly good reason to leave early and are just glad they got to squeeze in some live hockey before hand.

I'll admit I leave early in blowouts either way. But I bet a lot of others do too, that have 2.5 hour drives back home after the game. Am I less of a fan because I leave early, yet drive 5 hours 30+ more games a year just to watch my favorite team play live?

I leave in the 2nd period a lot because my gf gets up at 430am for work and games end too late. I stay if I can, usually

How does he keep the puck on his stick? it's mesmerizing. You can see the puck rolling and quick quick he has the puck settled down.

But just saying my opinion is annoying and telling me to stop talking about it is just stupid.
Flames fans gave the team multiple standing ovations after LOSSES towards the end of last season.

That's all I have to say.

I know. I just don't get it. I keep watching, thinking it should be knocked off his stick. Filthy mitts.

I hope they deploy that Hudler-Granlund-Gaudreau line together for the MTL game. They're going to embarrass those Habs in the Bell Center. What a magnificent showing they had in the third period.

By extension, they could open up more room for Monahan. And they should put Ferland with Monny. They'd make a good pairing.

Yet only 18,500 show up tonight. Why do the Oilers sellout every game despite being so awful?

Last year the flames finished October with a record of 5-5-2.

This year, 6-4-2.

It just seems like they are a much better team compared to last year....

It's Halloween. A lot of people can't go because they have kids.

Gaudreau got the firehelmet

Also I can attest to the fact that Gaudreau got a big ovation during the warmup announcement, and basically after each of his impressive shifts. You can tell he's the focus of most fans.

And he utterly deserves it too. All over the ice all the time, and greasy as a 50's pompadour!

He totally broke my "ya know" meter though....

Oilers get less than 18,500 every single night

I listened to the last 15 minutes on the radio and the fans seemed pretty loud.

Anyways, this whole conversation has put a damper on a thread that should be focused on the amazing performance by Johnny. Simply amazing.

"Tying to get better defensively" Has the most takeaways in the league #justJohnnythings

I like listening to Gaudreau's interviews sometimes. Really comes off as very mature. They ask him about his offence, and he responds with making sure he is good defensively. That is seriously a great reply from a rookie, and judging by his play and his league leading takeaways, he is serious about that answer.

Also, that pass from Granlund to Hudler was just awesome. To have that composure to just lightly pass it while in close and under pressure - you can't teach that. 9 times out of 10 someone would just try and jam it into the pads. Granlund is here to stay.

Ferland looked great until his injury. Hopefully they just kept him out for precautionary reasons. It is going to be tough to send him back down I bet.

The team overall played pretty well - Brodie and Giordano as always of course, but Monahan I thought was good tonight too. He is starting to have more of a presence out there. Nice to see. Hudler seemed like he was the Hudler of last year finally - I don't think he has been very great, but today he was finally creating a lot out there. Setoguchi wasn't even too bad at all, which is nice to see.

I missed what Hartley said about Forzani. Do you know if there is a video of it?

The 'excited to be part of this organization' meter is almost broken too.
