Looking at his time on ice, you can see Wotherspoon is winning over the coaching staff.
When he first came up he was getting the SOB treatment - 6th defenseman, give the other guys a rest type role (10-12 minutes/game). The last three games, he's been up in the 16-17 minute range.
Wow, I think if the Flames continue on like this, the rebuild is almost complete with 2 seasons with Hartley. I'd say that Hartley should be awarded coach of the year for how the Flames have turned 180 with this team from beginning of the year and after that Canucks brawl. This team is not perfect, yet. But damn, it'd definitely looking pretty good with some of those prospects in the line-up.
Hartley has been the best thing we needed in years and I agree with you about the job he has done but coaching a team and finishing in the bottom 5 does not and should never award anyone as coach of the year. You don't win a gold medal to be the most exciting and hardest worker.

I like Colborne
I like Wotherspoon
And I like post-injury Ramo a lot!
Starting to feel really good about our situation in goal. Between Ramo/Ortio/Gillies, I think we can find a solid tandem for the future, without needing to look elsewhere and spend unnecessary assets. But of course, we should continue to stockpile our goalie pool with picks once every second draft, in case we can find a gem there.

I like Wideman but I hope he just take the rest of the season off to recuperate. If he comes back, it means Wotherspoon goes back to Abby since they recalled him due to Wideman injury.
