I am a fiscal conservative who is often critical of the current provincial government.
however, I have absolutely no issue whatsoever with our Premier attending this event.

I really don't have a problem with attending. I guess I have a problem with leaving and not confirming that your on the guest list.
That just seems stupid

What makes Redford so special? Is it because she's a politician and all those other people aren't?
Where do we draw the line?
Edit: Apparently she's not so special in SA since she wasn't even invited to attend the memorial ceremony and only got in because she crashed it.

I hope you realize that you have the same problem as the Wildrose Party, when you complain about everything and I mean absolutely everything, you wind up not being the person who raises valid points, rather you become a parody of yourself. You are just the guy who complains about everything with any valid criticisms being lost in the feeble whining.

Is it possible to just leave the group of them in South Africa? Think of it as Canada's 'gift' them.

Between the last world cup and now Mandela's passing, I get the the sense that South Africa is a real noisy place.

Note to self:
Refrain from criticizing the PC Party of Alberta, or their leader or MP's, whenever they do or say something I disagree with.
PC good. WR bad.

I have no issue either... as long as its not on my dime. I'm paying for one PM, at least three former PM's (not sure about Joe Clark), one GG, and one former GG, plus their wives and husbands and their staff probably... That's plenty as far as I'm concerned. Canada is well represented there.

Rerun had a valid point that you could have countered. Instead you chose to do the same thing you accuse Rerun of doing, feeble whining

Defend Prime Minister who paid off embezzling Senators to keep them quiet.
Lambaste Premier who attends funeral of world leader of whom she worked with directly.
Yep. Just seriously go away to a hovel suitable for your mental abilities. I recommend Free Dominion.

Actually, never mind. Why am I even arguing about Provincial Politics? It is what old men that smell like ointment, wearing Denver Hayes pants and Velcro sneakers do, while drinking their Senior coffee in Mcdonalds at 5:30 in the morning.

I disagree with someone derailing a thread about a very important man, love him or hate him, with petty Provincial Politics arguments.
Time and a place.
It would be like showing up a friends funeral, and arguing with the caterer about the egg salad sandwiches having too much mayo in them.
