Really god awful looking for a Bantam team's jersey. Hope this is an inadvertent leak and the real new 3rd jersey is a lot different.
Looks like creamed crap...

Replace the lame wordmark with the shoulder logo as the primary. Yes or no?

No. It looks decent as a shoulder patch, it would look terrible as a larger, primary logo.

I really try to be understanding that people have differing opinions, but in this case I'm having a tough time. It absolutely blows me away that 34 people saw this horrendous jersey, looked at a poll asking if you like it or dislike it and clicked on 'like'.
Just blows me away. I feel like they all 34 of these posters were racing out the door and went "I don't have time to look at the jersey now, so I'll just assume it's awesome, vote yes, and then look at it when I get home".
Seriously, there's 34 people on this board who like this jersey. Let that sink in for a minute. It's as bad as a walmart kids mock up jersey, and 34 people here like it a as an NHL jersey.

I wrote this in the othe rthread:
I really like the wordmark....... for a hoodie, but being on a jersey is a little odd.
Striping is nice though, jersey is clean, has the current trend of those square shoulder yokes.
It also reminds me a little of the Devils. I wish the shoulder yoke was rounded and had a yellow trim on it.
Not bad overall but it seems a little unnecessary. I don't like the shoulder patches at all, but they are better than the flags.
With a Flaming C on it it would look great, but then our two red jerseys would look too similar.

Only if you go ahead and then replace the shoulder logo with another logo. Perhaps a C (for Calgary!) of some sort. Maybe with a firey look.

This can't be real. The socks are from 2004, the pants are the current pants and the jersey itself is too similar, colour wise, to the current jersey. Seriously the Flames must be smoking some really messed up crack if they release this as their third.

This is pretty bad, IMO, and a huge let down.
The shoulder patches are a big improvement over the flags, no doubt, but they have nothing on the flaming Calgary tower patch from the other thread.
Quite disappointing if true.

I seriously feel heartbroken, violated, raped, and abused. This jersey is so bad. 5+ years and this is what they come up with? Truly disgusted if this is legitimate.
Well it's bed time now and I just know this jersey is going to rape me in my dreams tonight.

Very bad. Thank god Buffalo did worse
I had high hopes too because I thought the Flames did a very good job with the Heritage Classic ones. Would rather just use these in the regular season, or the retros, or not have an alternate jersey

Don't know what anyone expected, as soon as a wordmark on it was basically announced.
The black shoulder yolk looks too big, but that could be the video game rendering too. Looks almost like a bit different socks, same pants.
The secondary crest is pretty interesting.
Will be interesting to see if they change up the name and number font...here's hoping.
Again, people have to remember it's a third jersey. As I have said on this site, I am guessing this is the one KK had approved and ready to release, but shelved last minute a few years back. If it's tied in with the new building announcement, the community coming together with the flood, it makes some sense to release a "Calgary" themed jersey, promoting civic pride.
My semi educated guess is that when the Flames get into a new building in the next 3 years or so, the current home and current away get redone with an updated retro style jersey style for both.
3/4 of the concepts that were being done on here (which had nothing to do with the idea of it being a 3rd jersey, and creating unrealistic expectations from some), will then come back to light.

Just think, they paid somebody to design this jersey. And they were satisfied with it.
Split98 designed his jerseys out of the goodness of his heart.
