Now with Burke aboard, a different dynamic in the front office; basically, a new guy that he will actually like playing for, or, at least, remain on Burke's good side so that maybe he can do what Feaster tried and failed to do, trade him.

Float that out to Lebrun/ESPN instead of to the local guys.
This week in New York, the NHL hosted their Player Media Tour where players from all the teams gathered together for promotional events and photo shoots and interviews.

Cammalleri was the Flames representative at the event. LeBrun has been posting a lot of interviews from the event.

I wouldn't read anything more into it than the fact that they both happened to be in the same place when the Burke story broke.

I'm guessing Cammy becomes the Flames best offensive player and is traded a week before the deadline or so for a significant return. I like him but I honestly don't see him being here too long.
No, Sutter said that about Cammalleri. Toronto had Cammalleri in their office with Nonis making a pitch while Burke was flying to Sweden (not to try and sign the Sedins). Toronto definitely wanted him but the Canadiens offered a contract before Toronto so he took it.

It's in Cammalleri's best interest to let it be known he will re-sign with Calgary. Should he go all season without being traded, I'm sure his value on the open market goes up if teams feel they have to pry him away from his existing team, a place where he likes to play.

I'm not saying Cammy doesn't like it here, but I don't read anything more into this than right now its in his best interest to say all the right things, regardless of what he really wants.

If that's the case, then Feaster AND Burke should be on the phone with Nonis ASAP. If we traded them Cammy(Flames eat some of the salary) and a Dman for a package of players and picks, it would actually help out both teams. I hate the leafs and don't want to help them out but if it helped us out a lot more, I'd be all for it. The leafs need cap space so if we took back a bad contract or two plus a good young player and/or a pick or two I think it would help us out. I'd love to have multiple first rounders again this coming draft (especially since it's lottery based and if the leafs don't make the playoffs its another shot at #1). I think the whole Kadri situation and them needing cap space is a great weakness that should be exposed.
