This is awesome. Shows maturity, commitment, initiative, willingness to learn. Strikes me as a thinker who realizes how much of the game takes place off the ice.

Love to hear that about Monahan... Hope he makes the team this year. Flames are in a good spot for the rebuild... Have plenty of good goaltending prospects (especially gillies. Plus the depth at forward is looking great for the future. If the flames surprise people this year, it will be awesome but if not, the flames could find a way to have 3 first round picks again this year. If they did, I'd use the top pick on a high end forward and the other 2 to build up the defence.

wow Ewanyk is the only forward on the Edm. squad that I even remotely heard of.
Their D looks pretty decent though.
Should be a good match up.
I think we have the edge in depth.
