Not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but by the looks of things we have added two more free agents to the tournament roster

Two right-shooting forwards.

Taranto looks interesting... clearly an Alaska Aces connection as he joined the team at the end of the season after finishing at Alaska-Fairbanks, where he made the CCHA second all-star team, having previously been named rookie of the year for that league. The point totals never got back up after the rookie season but nevertheless aren't bad.

I agree - the Jets have several solid prospects on their team.

The Flames suffer from them having so many NCAA players - add Gaudreau, Jankowski, Agostino, Gillies, Arnold, and possibly Harrison to the already strong Flames team and they destroy this tournament.

There is normally a group of us who always sit behind the net in the Flames attacking Zone every period. For all Those that are going to make it, please feel free to join us. I will be the guy with the 2 year old who says Nux suck and Oilers suck!

think we should start opening some new training day threads so we can kick some of the garbage threads on the first page of the forum off

Kristin Hallett@Kristin_Hallett7m
Well looky who worked their assets off this summer. Flames prospects looked 10lbs of muscle stronger today. Should make for an intense camp.

Kristin Hallett@Kristin_Hallett4m
Ryan Culkin said that his goal at camp is to make Jay Feaster's job "very difficult" when the time comes to draft the final lineup.

Who looks 10 lbs heavier, Kristin?

On that note: Monahan sure looks solid for a kid that hasn't hit his 19th birthday

Kristen Odland@KristenOdlandCH28m

@NHLFlames top pick Sean Monahan says he's up 10-11 lbs since development camp, now at 200 lbs. Says he's stronger in the faceoff circle.

Kristen Odland@KristenOdlandCH2m

Monahan also says he's been watching videos of #NHL centres this summer, trying to learn their tendencies. Used to do the same in the #OHL.

Wait. I thought Klimchuk was "as fit as a fiddle"?

Lulz. That's some solid reporting Calgary Herald.

Has he had a pre-season game yet? The Pats were doing scrimmages but I think first pre-season game is tomorrow.

How does a guy getting hurt in a scrimmage have to do with what that article was about, Klimchuk's off-season training?

Damn I love this kid. Have to like how he is showing commitment to making the team. So excited to watch him play in this tournament and battle during training camp.

Smoskowitz must have had some ice time drop in 2011/2012 to have a decline like that, reasonable rebound year though

also i will be following all the threads from work during the tournament and would like to send appreciation in advance for all that contribute!!
