It's strange to me... It would be one thing if they were winning with that approach, but they continue perform below their talent value...truly bizarre.

Meaning, on paper, thu should be an eastern powerhouse...yet they play a style fit for expansion team, as you said, and are met with a result less than what would otherwise be expected of them... Very strange.

Yeah, if I had no bias, I'd be cheering for the Caps all the way ... however ...

Tim Hunter has been an assistant coach for many years - he obviously has the confidence of many head coaches.

Wonder if he will ever get the chance to be a bench boss. Flames maybe?

Refs gifting this game to the Rangers. You have to wonder if Washington will get a PP today.

Dorsett is probably my least favourite player in the league after watching this series. Such a dirty POS

How does a team get no penalties in an entire game vs 5 for the other team

I don't think they've been more disciplined;the refs are letting fans influence them at the game

In a chippy one goal game I don't think "more disciplined" can be the only reason for a team getting 0 penalties in a game.

Yep, NHL always plays favourites with big market teams. And small market teams. And the teams that make a ton of money and those close to folding. Also middle of the pack teams like the Penguins. The NHL sure wants every team to win.

Fantastic game.

Ovechkin seriously has shifts where he's dominant, but takes so many shifts off. He would be such a brilliant player if he actually played hard all the time.

Darn it, so close to a line brawl at the end.

All we got was a line scrum instead.
