I'm torn with Emrick. Clearly he's very knowledgeable but his voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I don't like Emrick. He can have some clever wordplay, but overall he's too rambly, which I guess is the American style of less PBP and more commentator.

That's embarrassing, especially in the playoffs.

If he's on his horse he at the very least gives Stepan something to think about, instead of just settling the puck and burying it. It's classic Ovechkin, does not give a ####.
This is exhibit 1 in the presentation on 'Why Alexander Ovechkin Should Never Be Considered a Great Hockey Player'. All the talent in the world, and certainly a very good player, but he has no business being discussed with the actual greats.

If his job is to get the guy up high then why is he down low? Your job is to react to situations and try keeping the puck out of the net. There is no defence for what he did. That is embarrassing and if I'm his teammate I tear a piece into him.

I've always considered the Rangers evil, but I didn't realize Die Führer was a fan...

Ribeiro with the winning goal in overtime as the Capitals win 2-1 and put the Rangers on the brink of elimination. The Rangers scored 53 seconds into the game and then Ward on the power play tied it in the second period.

Wow not a single post in this thread the entire game, I guess there's not a lot of rangers or caps fans on cp.

Nah. Just too busy watching the game. Love this series despite the lack of bad blood.
Hope the Caps can finish em off in 6. This series is too tight.

You couldn't pay me enough to watch a Rangers game. If they're in the finals I will not watch. They make the Minnesota wild look like the 80's Oilers teams. Most boring team to watch in the NHL. I really hope they're eliminated soon.

Huge Caps fan here. Been a fan since the early 90's when Peter Bondra caught my attention, so I always cheer for them if the Flames have been ousted from the Playoffs.
This series has been pretty damn close again like the previous years they've faced each other. Hopefully Ovechkin can start turning it on again because he seems kind of out of it lately.
That gif posted earlier is just embarassing to look at.

It was a great game and hopefully this series goes 7 games. If it happens, Monday night will be awesome.

I really hope the Capitals finish off the Rangers as I don't think I can take another year of watching their suffocating, shot blocking style of play for multiple rounds. They keep bringing in guys like Richards, Gaborik, Nash, etc and yet continue to play like they have the talent level of an expansion team with their uncreative approach.

You know quite honestly, I think the entire NBC production has surpassed the CBC production.
TSN is still the best, but I have been watching NBC more and more lately.
