Columbus is 7-2-4 in their last 13

They have given up 23 goals over that span, despite the schedule incuding 3 CHI, 3 DET, 2 VAN, and STL

In their last 6 they're 4-0-2, giving up 5 goals, against VAN DET DET VAN CHI PHX

I always love the "overreactions" and "chicken little" posts.

They always just keep running them out until we miss the playoffs again.

Certainly looks like the end of the road for Cervenka under Hartley.

Iginla with almost "The Shift V3.0" there in the third. Stealing the puck multiple times, setting up teammates, retrieving the puck, the some nice dangling in the high slot, retreiving it again.Tanguay and I think Wide man had the best chances to pull the trigger.

I think we go 3-4-0 in our next 7

putting us at 14-16-4 at the deadline. Is that enough to make us sellers come April 3rd?

March 21 @ Nashville
March 22 @ Columbus
March 24 - St Louis
March 26 @ Chicago
March 27 - Colorado
March 29 - Columbus
April 1 @ Edmonton

Ya Tanguay really blew it that shift, Iginla gave him two golden chances and he didn't get a shot off on either of them. I immediately thought back to "The Shift" as well, that was as dominant a shift from Iginla that I've seen in a long time. Thought for sure he was going to either score or set up a goal there.

Just finished watching "Moscow on the Hudson". I needed a good laugh after that depressing effort by the Flames. They sure know how to suck the enjoyment out of watching them play.

I can see Cervenka returning to the KHL after this season is over. Can't seem to adapt to the NHL style of game. A shame really as we did see short glimpses of the talent he had

We'd have to go 10-2-2 at that point to get to 54 points. I'd hope our management team is smart enough to realize that chances of that are slim. Even if we do, I just can't see this team getting by a Chicago or LA/Anaheim in round 1. Getting bounced in the first round shouldn't qualify as success.

I appreciate the fact that these guys have opened up the game a bit and that the general feel around this team is lighter than it was in previous years.... but the results say it all. Good teams can win on the road, good teams can win 3 games in a row.

I was optimistic but that Cali roadtrip and this loss have me on the sell bandwagon. This just isn't working and i hope that Feaster and Weisbrod take a longer-term view instead of falling into a playoff or bust mentality.

I would think the flames have to win the next 2 on the road or they are sellers. They can't come out of this road trip 1-2 or 0-3 and think they can make the playoffs with 9 out 15 in April on the road. They need to show management that they can win on the road and they have not done that yet.

I could se the flames going 4-3, but all 3 losses on the road.

The thing is though, that the rest of the bubble teams are losing as well.

After tonight, 8th place is 2 games over 500. As long as 8th is dangling in their eyes like that, I can't see the Flames being sellers

Sadly with this ownership you could be right. I just can't see why they would chance it? The flames up to now can't win on the road and have 60% of their games in April on the road.

Flames have a 6 game home winning streak.

Flames have a 6 game road losing streak.

Hilarious.

The Cali trip was against the defending champion roster and the third game against a team that is playing lights out. Tonight was against a team on a 4 game losing streak and the last game an embarrassment. They came out hot and got lucky.

Great pressure at the end. And I don't see Kipper on his butt, laying down and shuffling across the crease on the 4th goal. That was pretty bad.

Guess this goes to the thread about how you watch the games. I still found the game entertaining.

The team basically needs to win 2 of every 3. Possible.

Team has flaws, I would like to see them addressed, and have more faith in operations than most. Feaster is not even 2 years in to a restructuring so people calling for his head aren't even considering how the things he has done will pan out.

Good fun

McGratton, Jackman, Begin

This reminds me of a 90's 'young guns' line.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought so. I thought he played the second one pretty poorly too.
