Isn't that all the more reason to go after their prospects or picks? I mean they have to have some decent prospects in their system. And their pick this year might end up being a decent one too.

Just because we had bad trades in the past with a team, doesn't mean we shouldn't trade with them again. If the trade makes the team better, do it, doesn't matter with what team it's with.

And objectively speaking, please name all the teams in the western conference that the flames are better then.... I think Vancouver, Anaheim, st Louis, Chicago are locks. La kings, San Jose I also think are superior to the flames roster. So that means the flames have to beat out at least four of phoenix, Nashville Detroit Minnesota, and Dallas who are all ahead of the flames inthe standings... Not a very rosy picture to say the least...

Dziurzynski - Turris - Alfredsson
Greening - Smith - Neil
Condra - Zibanejad - Silfverberg
Grant - O'Brien - Daugavins

Methot - Gryba
Phillips - Gonchar
Wiercioch - Benoit

While Iggy might be a great model for how to conduct yourself with class and is a fierce competitor, I don't see the work ethic as much anymore.

And Ramo moves on in the KHL playoffs:

"@ToriePeterson: #Flames prospect Karri Ramo just posted a shutout in Game 7 of the KHL Eastern Conference semi-final. 26 save performance."

apologies if already posted but found the following on the TSN website and good breakdown of goaltending situation for all 30 teams:

http://www.tsn.ca/blogs/scott_cullen/?id=416604

Garon went down so that's TB, FLA and CAR with injuries to the goaltending position. If anything might open the door for teams looking for depth and Leland may get a chance somewhere else as it's apparent it's not going to happen here.

I'm sure this has been covered already but can we just not trade Kipper to the Leafs please? Our past history suggests we will wind up with bozak and a 5th
