So close to bang on(pardon the pun)

It was called the CB drive in in Sydney NS though. Problem with the Corral was by the time it got dark enough to crawl in the back seat the girls had to go home!

You have no possible idea how jealous I am Dis. If your first car looked anything like the one pictured...you are (or were) blessed.

I'm waiting for someone to post that their first car was a '69 Mustang Mach I. I will hunt that person down and kill them.*

*Not really. I'm not actually a homicidal person. I do enjoy killing bugs inside my house though...

1973 AMC Javelin AMX. Had a 401 with a 4 speed - burnt off a couple sets of tires during high school.

1980 Honda Civic wagon nicknamed 'Rusty'

Was totalled after 9 days by some #### running a light. After all costs (purchase, insurance etc) was still cheaper than a rental car for 9 days...

Ahh the 1987 Ford Escort - "5" door, 5-Speed GL. Bought it from my mom for $1.00. I installed my own deck that only turned on when the head lights were on. I installed the old house speakers with the subs in them. Left an extra six feet of speaker cord so I could put them on the roof at bush parties.

Had quite the shimmy from 80 - 110 km/h, but once you hit 115 the dash quit shaking and it all smoothed out. Never had to change the oil, just had to add a liter every three fuel stops.

RIP Little Blue

I had 2 firsts:

1986 Mercury Topaz - I drove it for the a year and by the end of my first summer the driver seat had broken off, and I filled the trunk with sod scraps and dirt from my very first landscaping job. Then I sold it to a guy in the bargain finder for $50.

Then I bought a 1992 Geo Metro because it was awesome on gas. My sister rolled it 6 months later, when she borrowed it without permission. I miss paying $20 to fill up the tank and driving it for a couple weeks.
