He was drafted 5th and then was the 1C at the WJC.
He then was injured in everyone of his first three pro years.
Finally healthy and has been a fixture on the fourth line since.
No one knows what he is, but the pedigree is there and he is only 24.
I actually like Lapierre better.
AHL playoff MVP in 23-24 with 23 points in 20 games.
PPG player the next year in the AHL.
Two years since as a fourth line player, when he can get in.
All sorts of character and skill, and definitely getting Bennetted.
23 years old.
I'm sure there's another Bennett or two out there I'm not thinking of. I guess the point is, if we create a hole at centre for a couple of years, until Reshny and Potter are up, why not take a chance on a buried player?
