I'll be sad to live in a world where Pathetic Pierre and Monstrous Marlaina govern me and my tax dollars.

In the very same article, March 22.
Other article...also in March revealing what the date change would mean.

Ahem...reads the exact same article...again...from May 30 over 2 months after Poilievre's comments and 2 months after the Toronto Star pointed it out...suddenly having an epiphany.

Man can you throw me a bone here and link less articles that are behind paywalls?
Go listen to the actual interview being quoted. Pierre makes that statement and then immediately after claims it’s Singh’s reasoning so that he(Singh) specifically can get his pension despite him being eligible for it months before Diwali.
Question would still remain though as to why if this was such a big deal to him that he’d only brought it up on some fringe podcast before a random NDP MP got the media talking about it months later. Just seems odd.
Would it be illogical to assume that he knew the NDP wouldn’t end their supply and confidence agreement at that time because their pharmacare plan had not yet been passed so it was better for him politically to wait until after the bill concerning the date change passed so that he’d have additional political ammo?

Seems like it was quite a big deal for NDP'ers...after the fact and realizing their own constituents absolutely hated their own party appearing to extend pensions for themselves. Again, the joys of the deal.
Wait...

NDP
Yea: 23
Nay: 0
Paired: 0
NDP still voted for it despite their play to the media about the date. Both the Bloc and the CPC voted against it, with both very dead set against it and several MPs that had their own pension in jeopardy vouching to run on their own records and asking the NDP MPs to do the same. NDP voted for it being on the record they would ask for an amendment when it goes to committee...lol

Are you going to answer my question about how big of a deal the pension issue is to you after considering all of the circumstances around it?

I think this pension thing is kind of ridiculous. You know what good managers do for their employees. Ensure they dont get screwed out of benefits for technicalities.
Like if a 30 day difference in election date makes a person qualified for a pension I’m okay with the delay as that difference is meaningless in whether they deserve a pension or not.

They literally will have worked over 99% of the term required to be entitled to their pension. It’s not exactly an apples to apples comparison but I’ve dealt with some let’s call them “interesting” companies over the years and I can’t think of a single one that would deny someone their pension under those circumstances. Wait, maybe one company but they shall remain nameless.

Now I’m confused. Is my nickname ninja or noodle on that one for a bit?
In either case I imagine it’s probably the nicest nickname I’m gonna get from you so I accept it

Watching CTV power panel. Mulcair thinks that the NDP are in trouble in the Manitoba by-election and that they may have a chance in Montreal but they are hearing on the doorstep that people aren't happy with them propping up Trudeau, Ambrose agreed. Scott Reid thinks they are trying to distance themselves in the run up to an election because they are tanking in the polls, all agree that this probably isn't going to go well for them. Nothing groundbreaking but it's interesting to hear the party insiders POV.

First opposition day the Conservatives should introduce a motion that reads ..
"This house has lost confidence in the government because they refuse to stand up to the elites and always cave to corporate greed. This Liberal government is too weak and selfish to continue governing."
See what the NDP does.

First of all....look here you...yes. That is a good point. I would agree with that.
I was more referring to the Media. You know...the people who are paid for their Professionalism as opposed to someone like me.

Jeremy Broadbent the Liberals National Campaign Director has stepped down, claiming family reasons.
More likely he doesn't want his name on a possibly historic loss.
I expect that as we get closer to the budget, more Liberals are going to decide not to run.

Meanwhile Liberal national campaign director Jeremy Broadhurst steps down. The rats are fleeing the sinking ship as fast as they can.

It will take a decade to undo the extensive damage that Trudeau's narcissism has done to the Liberal brand refusing to step down and let the party heal. Just end it and let's get a functional government in rather than this decaying corpse of a party clinging desperately for Oct 27 2025.

What makes you so certain that a CPC majority would be anymore “functional” than the current clown show? Granted it is a low bar, but I guess I’m just not seeing what PP or his party have done thus far to show that they are truly the decisive lesser of 2 evils. If Trudeau starts calling his opponents names they’re basically the same aside from their positions on the carbon tax.
