The victim in the Ruggs crash has been ID'd as 23 year old Tina Tintor and her dog. The article below is a tough read. It sounds like she was conscious when people came to try and help her. Horrific. He was going 156 MPH...how the hell did he and his girlfriend survive the collision?

I've read before that it is believed that many people who are drunk and in an accident survive because of the effects of intoxication. The body is not stressed or tense and they have a higher survival rate.

The Packers signal-caller sure got sneaky with adjectives a couple of months ago to slip away from media scrutiny. The author of this article firmly believes in the COVID vaccine but also endorses a person’s right to choose. So, it just feels slimy that Cousins was open and honest – and subsequently skewered by the media – while Rodgers was deceptive and prone to word games as a means to avoid the hubbub of no vaccination. It’s not really a lesson to follow or teach youngsters: if you’re sly with your wording – or even outright lying – you might get away with it.

Because, in truth, if Rodgers never contracted the virus in Week 9, folks would’ve taken his word for it. None of this would come to light. Cousins would be the notorious anti-vax personality, whereas Rodgers, well, scot-free from criticism.

Cousins and Rodgers are never on even playing fields for media coverage – chiefly because Rodgers is a better quarterback – but it is wildly unsurprising that this Rodgers story will be irrelevant in a week. If Cousins lied, got busted, and missed a football game – it would follow his reputation forever.

All in all, though, this is just how it goes for Rodgers. He lied or deceived. He got caught. Soon, nobody will care.

He's probably right that in a few weeks nobody will care because as long as Rodgers continues to throw touchdowns passes people will overlook that he's a major #######.

I don't know, when you have a BAC double the legal limit and were literally at the scene and it's your car...We all know this ends with him guilty, but out on bail his lawyer will drag this out as long as possible. At least in jail he might try and make this quick so he can start his sentence.

Also innocent until proven guilty doesn't mean you should get bail. Being charged with murder is automatically no bail, DUI causing death seems like something that should have similar conditions.

He's obviously guilty but he has the right as a citizen to not face punishment until he's been convicted. I find the bail system and pre-trial holding in circumstances were the alleged perpetrator represents no flight-risk and is not a threat to the general public to be incredibly inhumane and an affront to civil liberties.

I'm fine with him facing social and professional repercussions based on what we know so far, but he has a right to due process in terms of the legal consequences.

This attitude towards criminal justice in the U.S. is a big reason why the U.S. has such a substantial number of innocent black people languishing in jails. My opinions on this aren't going to change just because I find what Ruggs did to be particularly egregious.
