Man those were some complete mis-matches this morning/afternoon. I'd equate it to Yokozuna vs. Brooklyn Brawler. Awful.

Looks like the mismatches are continuing tonight...Eagles maybe have a bit of a chip on their shoulder given the past couple of weeks? Cardinals just aren't the same team when they get two time zones away from home. Oh well Arizona can still clinch their Division this weekend because the other teams are that bad.

Horrible defensive holding call on Hansen. Boldin's getting away with some awful endzone play here.

I don't think you could be more wrong to be quite honest. McNabb is about as opposite of a Diva as you get. I will grant you that the media tends to make anything about McNabb into a big deal at times. Philly is as tough a place to play, and yeah, I still think McNabb being an African American QB tends to make the scrutiny that much more than if he was a caucasian.

But Donovan himself has taken a lot of guff over the years, and he's handled it better than anyone else who's taken it would have.

My question is where will McNabb play next year?

He could make a good team with a bad QB a contender.

San Francisco? Houston?

My guess is Tampa. (Not saying Garcia is bad, I just don't see him back in Tampa.)

Sure is nice to have Brian Westbrook on my fantasy teams. This week anyway.

I sat Westbrook this week because of his sub-par performances the last few weeks. I feel like the biggest idiot today. If I lose this week I'm going to be so pissed.

There's still a chance he's back in Philly next year too. Although, his comments after the game tonight are going to raise some concerns. Donovan is Andy Reid's guy.

I think McNabb's had a pretty good season, save for about 3 games. The play-calling and lack of a power running game has been the downfall of the Eagles this year.

If the Eagles play lights out down the stretch and finish with either a wild card spot (not going to happen) or a decent overall record, then I see them trading one of their two first round picks in the draft for a WR and making an all or nothing run for the Super Bowl next year.

If they struggle down the stretch and finish worse than 8-8, then I see them blowing a bunch of the team up and going into a bit of a mini-rebuild.

You must be a fantasy stat guy if that's all you present.

He was decent. He also looked slow at times, got sacked and took a couple intentional grounding penalties.
Alot of short passes and Westbrook did most of the work

Makes sense, that wouldn't surprise me at all. There should be alot of quality FA QB's this summer, if the Vikes don't come out with one they are complete idiots. I'm sure they'll be pushing hard in the Cassel Sweepstakes this offseason.

I watch that team and I can't help but think "if they just had a QB, they'd be Super Bowl contenders". I think they learnt a valuable lesson this year that no matter how much talent you have everywhere else, you just can't win in this league without a decent QB.

Cassell would kind of worry me if I were another team thinking of signing him. Is he a product of that system, and once he gets into a different system he will have trouble?

Maybe is is a great QB, but from not stating a game since HS to today, there is a lot to make me think twice.

You know...normally I would think the same way but he is a unique case.

you have to look at who he was behind in college and in the pros, as to why he hadn't made a start.

He played behind both Matt Leinart and Carson Palmer at USC, both Heisman winners and has been behind Tom Brady since the day he was drafted into the NFL.

I think he truly is a very good QB and should do well where ever he goes. He is a very smart guy as well as pretty level headed.

I was thinking of starting a thread about Cassel. Is this a guy who looks good around talented players, or is he a guy who just needed a chance? I remember Scott Mitchel looking really good for the Dolphins when he filled in for Marino and getting a nice contract....how did that work out?

There are backups who go from one team to another where they get a chance and do very well, guys like Hasselback and Brunnel from Green Bay behind Farve. But there are a lot that don't. Seems to be a lot with mixed type results too, guys like Steve Bono, Elvis Grbac, even Matt Schaub who looks good at times but hasn't got the Texans a lot of wins.

This QB is a pretty tricky position. My personal opinion is that a guy like Cassel looks good in New England knowing that system and with some pretty good receivers to throw to. Put him on a team like the 49'ers or Chiefs and I don't think he'd be much more than average. In other words if he was on the Chiefs...I don't think he'd be doing anything Tyler Thigpen isn't doing right now type of thing. But there is no doubt a team like the Vikings would benefit from getting average or above average play at the position.

the one thing he does have going for him is that he knows the system inside out and backwards from being surrounded by it for years. Adjustment to a different system on another team could prove difficult, but then ,wouldn't that go for most players? Time will tell...
