And Nick Harris is one of the better Lions players!
What does that say about your team when your two kickers are likely top 5-10 players on the team?

That they're a lot like the Raiders?

It's not tough to be a Lions fan when there are NO Lions fans.
At least the Chiefs have traditional, loyals fans and it hurts them when the team does so bad. Saints have a shorter history of loyals fans but the weirdest things happen to the Saints which makes cheer for them a pain.
Man I think I could run through the Lions D-Line

It's only 32 points! The Bills did it in a playoff game, go Lions!

Well in fairness to me...the Lions did beat the Chiefs last year, and the Chiefs are still a 1-10 team. I mostly say it because on the Flames board I read a lot of OMG the Flames are horrible we should blow this thing over and start again! Yeah, watching a last place team is lot's of fun, especially when once you move outside of being competitive it's hard to push your way back in, apply's to both the NFL and NHL. I think I also said...I don't mind the Chiefs having the number two pick in the draft when it's the Lions who have the number one pick! But I am worried that a new GM might be somewhat competent.
The NFL really needs to a say...Fata tradition and give that Detroit Thanksgiving game to another team. IMO too many years of the Lions not being a competitive team is a good reason for tradition to take a back seat.

Against the same team no less! Where's Frank Reich when you need him?

The comeback is on! 35-10.
Too bad for halftime. It is totally killing the momentum the Lions built up!

Lendale White is one of my fantasy MVPs this year. I'm sure Chris Johnson could handle the goal line carries just fine but thank gawd they mostly save them for White.

This game sucks. I'm hoping Cowboys/Seahawks is more entertaining...

Yeah, but at least I'll care if the Cowboys are blowing them out.
But for sure, I'm eager to see how McNabb does tonight. I hope he turns it around.

I have the Cowboys -2.5 and the Cardinals +13.5 left on my teaser (TEN -1.5 was a lock after the first 5 minutes of that stinker!) and I will have myself quite a lucrative little US thanksgiving!
Go 'Boys!!!

How does that work again? 10 point teaser?
You win 3 games for even money?

I don't know if it was the crip dance or not, but the NFL has a responsibility to make sure it markets positive role models for kids. The other leagues need to take a page out of the NFL's book.
The NBA is a disgrace in this regard.
The NFL can't have itself associated with gang signs...and yes, gangs are still a huge problem.
|
I hear ya, but my point is, is it actually seen as a "C-walk" anymore, or just some mainstream dance(considering the Youtube link I sent underneath of a dancer teaching kids the exact same move)? It's not like he pulled out a blue bandana or beads or anything like that. Or flashed some gangsign with his fingers. I know nothing about these dances so I was disgusted when I first heard about it, but the more I read into it, the more it sounds like just a mainstream move you'd see at any bar these days.
I think the NFL needed to crack down on dances for sure, especially with players using props for TD celebrations(ie Chad Johnson "putting" the football with the endzone post). But I think they've gone a little too extreme the other way. I still can't believe Lance Moore was flagged for doing the soccer slide in London after his TD. The Wembley fans loved the reference, wasn't the point to promote the game?
EDIT: On a side note, I can't believe I'm stuck at school all day today. This is the first time I've missed the Thanksgiving Day games in years. Lame.

Really? Give me a break. Moon is a fan and so am I.
Ford Field is full EVERY game despite the team being horrible for nearly a decade. All this despite the Red Wings' "regional economy" excuse. The Lions have a 75 year tradition and part of some of the oldest rivalries in the game, despite their relative dormancy these days.
You could say it's not tough to be a Lions fan because we're used to losing, but not because there are no Lions fans. That's just plain incorrect.

Seahawks and Hasselbeck lay another egg. At least it wasn't close enough for the lowest rated passer in the league to throw another embarassing late interception.
One advantage is its seperating the wheat from the chaff for next year for this team.
