late to the party on this one but shouldn't we be stacking the Heat right now with the hopes that they get into the playoffs and make some noise, instead of having call ups that deplete their chances?
And BTW, how has Klimchuk looked lately - stats show a tough season, hope the kid turns it around.
everyone is an emergency recall, players are hurt so they dont have bodies to send back.
Klimchuk has been looking good, he has settled into the shutdown line with Arnold and BVB, he plays a safe but feisty game. I think given an opportunity he would be able to show more offensively.

It looks like the Stockton crowd has been pretty good this year...nice to see. I'm sure it makes a big difference to have a vocal and supportive audience.
On another note, their jerseys and their logo are awful...the Flames marketing/design team strikes again
I don't mind the Heat logo at all, I prefer the alternate. But the jerseys like the Flames are god awful. I think the Heat had a winner with the "Hot Pink" series, they jerseys were fantastic, just make them Heat colors.

We could sign a NCAA free agent to fill up a spot up front and allow our young guys to help push for the playoffs. Sign a rh rw (maybe Andrew Gladiuk who is still available) which we are short of organizationally. Worst case scenario we have a prospect to play in Stockton next year.

I am certain the Flames are exploring those avenues, but you don't get everything you want. You also don't just sign college guys for the sake of signing them, they have to have some potential and this years crop has seemed rather weak IMO.

I know I've seen talk of how few games were played early in the season for Stockton, but we are nearing the end of the season and they have played 10 fewer games than lots of teams. All the California teams are like this. Do they play less games in the year than all the other teams?

Yes, the California teams will play 68 games this season. All the other teams will play 76.
