I'm glad those posters came out, cuase it gives a better idea of the enemy we're looking at. I'm going to guess this Kylo Ren is sith of some sort who rounds up a number of the empire's fleets and troopers and takes over. And the left over rebels have acquired their own troopers, seeing the good black guy. Some clarification would be nice though cause its hard to tell exactly where they're going with this. It seems like a set up for a one movie arc, not three.
I VASTLY prefer trailers like this to the trailer that gives away the entire plot of the movie. Reminds me a lot of the first Star Trek reboot trailers -- show some classic imagery/scenes, show some quick cuts of action, but keep dialogue and anything to do with the story to a minimum. Just enough to get you excited while leaving mostly everything as a surprise.

Yeah, this is my one OCD tendency.

Wow! If I wasn't on the hype train before, I am now.

Love how the trailers don't reveal too much plot and/or dialogue. I don't want to see a scene from the climax or the best joke of the movie in the trailer. Well done.

Can't wait for this to come out!!!

Aren't they in ghost form now? Anakin, Obi Wan. and Yoda. Perhaps others?

Wonder if Yoda will make an appearance.

Yes, as a force ghost shown at the end of Return of the Jedi.

The voiceover itself is sourced from Return of the Jedi, it's a part of the conversation in the Ewok village where Leia realizes that Luke is her brother. At that point in the movie Vader was alive so he does say "has". The audio has been edited and re-arranged for the trailer. I wouldn't put much stock into the "has"/"had" thing.

Of course it would be interesting if Anakin/Vader did return somehow.....maybe it does mean something

Yeah, it sounds like a new recording to me.

The lightsaber we see being handed to (presumably) Leia appears to be the one that Obi-Wan gave to Luke on Tatooine that was originally Anakin's. I believe it was lost at Cloud City when Vader chopped Luke's arm off.

I thought it may have been Luke's son saying it.

Tough to know how Hamill actually sounds now. So much of his recent work has been voice acting.

Also, that Star Destroyer in the sand.... fantastic.

Interesting speculation about Luke having a son, but is that permissable within the Jedi realm? I thought it was forbidden.

He has a son in the Extended Universe, Ben Skywalker.

No idea what his story is or anything.

It could also be Luke talking to his niece/nephew (Solo and Jedi blood? Wouldn't mess with that).

There was no Jedi order after Order 66, I have a funny feeling that Luke never rebuilt one or we'd see a clip of 10 Jedi fighting.

IF you read the Revenge of the Sith book, even Yoda realized as he was being pummeled by Sideous that the Jedi way wasn't the right way, and that while the Jedi had stagnated the Sith had evolved.

Even the shuffling off of Leia and Luke to allow them to live normal lives and have attachments and maybe fall in love and have access to those emotions like Love, Hate, Fear, Anger Jealousy would probably be better then training Jedi from the crib and getting rid of those emotions like they had been doing for a thousand years might lead to Jedi that could beat the Sith.

So Luke getting married or getting some strange on the side and knocking her up, is probably accepted . . . unless

Luke - "Han old buddy can we talk to you?"

Leia looks really uncomfortable. Han sits down

Han - "What's up buddy"

Luke - "Well you know after we blew up the death star two and you went off with Chewy to do some of that spice"

Han looks uncomfortable

Han - "Hey this isn't one of those interventions or anything like that"

Han reaches for his gun fully intending on shooting first this time.

Leia - "Han something happen, we're not proud of it, we drank a little too much of that Ewok wine out of that stormtrooper helmet and you know one thing lead to the other

Luke - "Obi-Wan told me to use the force on her pants"

Han starts to scowl.

Han - "Hey gross, you guys are brother and sister, that's wrong in every sector except with those hillbillies in the Saskatchewan system, but it only happened once right, I can forgive you"

Suddenly ghost yoda pops up

Yoda - "Tell him about the Solo child yet, a powerful Jedi she will become"

Han - "Wait what?"
