Conroy would absolutely be laughed at if he balked at that trade. And no Bedard isn’t walking in a few years.

Let's revisit this in about three years when everyone on here is going to laugh at you for wanting to trade the best offensive defenseman in the NHL for an overpaid small skill forward.

I don’t want to trade him.

But apparently you have Conroy on text and get confirmation from him that he would never do that deal.

Just make sure you have the money ready when McDavid signs in Edmonton.

Zibanejad, Hopkins, Scheifele and Atkinson have similar per game playoff production.

Bedard for Hughes...Vancouver does not say no.

What are you smoking? They are playing very well since the trade too.

Austin Matthews 48 points in 55 playoff games
Matthew Tkachuk 61 points in 71 playoff games
"Playoff" Sam Bennett 56 points in 84 playoff games

Marner has done fine and has played a lot of playoff games for his age...he is entering his prime

Yep, also the guy who said no way in hell is Draisaitl signing with the Oilers.

Now he is adamant that McDavid isn't signing with them.

Either he is has horrible sources or he is making crap up. And I would bet on the latter.

I never have, Marner is an under rated player...he is really good defensively too. I don't think he is coming to Calgary either, he will likely go somewhere and have great success though.

San Jose or Chicago could be contenders to land him. Cap room with theoretical reasons to come out of the cellar.

Only for Treliving to turn around and hand Bennett a 7x10M AAV.

Wonder if he is bitter at the GM who almost sewered his career.

He said superstar. If he wants numbers like McDacid MacKinnon etc he needs to produce like them in the playoffs.

Bennett isn’t a superstar so not sure why he’s in the conversation but he’s a key cog in a cup and same with Chucky.

Every GM in the world trades Parekh for Bedard in a second. This isn't even a question.

Bedard is the most sought after prospect since McDavid and Crosby. And has 119 points in 142 NHL games while playing center the entire time, on a team that's probably the worst situation in the NHL over the past two seasons.

You move Parekh for him every single time and don't even hesitate. There aren't a lot of guys you'd move Parekh for, but Bedard is easily one of them.

No. Just no. Parehk has the possibility of being one of the top defenders in the league. Its robbing peter to pay Paul. In this draft schaefer is probably the only defender on his level. These guys dont grow on trees, and considering chicago is shifting bedard around clearly not everyone is convinced he is a center.

#1 centers don’t grow on trees. You are the only one calling him winger.

We know very well here in Calgary.

This conversation is making my head hurt. I'd like to change the subject.

What do we think the Flames could get for Coleman this summer? He feels like the natural candidate to move with Huberdeau, Coronato, Farabee, Zary, Sharangovich, and Pospisil all needing top-nine ice. I wonder if you could get a high 2nd and a prospect for him.

Coleman seems like a deadline add for a contender might even get a 1st.
