That's because your original post was nonsense. Read the room you miserable dork.
Are you trying to flex that you're like a bigger flames fan than other people because you can't separate country from club? Because if so you're just looking like a ####ty Canadian.
Not at all. I should have kept the take to myself.
I did not articulate the thought properly.
Sorry for offending anyone.

Meh I know I’m in the small minority here but I might have preferred a US win over having to listen to even more SN and other media garbage about McDavid McDavid McDavid.
Not sure it's been mentioned enough but a huge part of the goal is the little play that Marner makes to be able to corral that puck off the wall without turning to his backhand to pick it up.
Not having to turn to his backhand hand but using his stake to angle the puck to his forehand off the boards is such a little simple play that opens up the time and space and caused the U.S. dmen to panic.
Marner got to that spot in the corner so early and no hesitation from Makar to put it around the boards; they knew what they were doing.

Fair enough, my reaction was pretty harsh in hindsight and I apologize for the knee-jerk response. I personally have a hard time separating the political tension from the tournament, and after seeing pro-trump trolls on this board and social media after the win it clearly struck a nerve with me and I took it out on the wrong person.
For me personally I'll gladly cheer for McDavid on one night only if it means Canada beating the US, but if you feel differently fair play. We're both Flames fans so I look forward to supporting the boys together down the stretch, always important to remember sport is supposed to be fun

I'm surprised you're not considering the other side of what we would have to listen to.
The amount of BS we are already hearing about CAN/US would pale in comparison.

Looking a the highlight comments, looks like a number of people watched their first hockey game ever from different countries, rooting on Canada to beat the fascist's team. And a number of Americans were cheering against their own team which was heartwarming to see. A lot of respectful comments from Americans who cheered on their team too.
This has to be considered a huge success for the league.
