Ehh... I think we need to win the AL East to make it through. Just look at the Angels and the Mariners. It'd just be better for us to win the division instead. We can hope that the Orioles start losing a few and we start stringing a few wins.

5-0 today in the 5th - if they take this one they will be 5-2 on the homestand which was the record I had in mind that they needed against these weaker teams.

There goes the no-hitter but still 7-0 after 7.

Hope the Jays spend a lot of time pushing Stroman for rookie of the year. The kid's been brilliant in nearly every game he's pitched.

I really don't want to see his name in any trade rumours anymore. Unless you're getting an absolute star in return, it doesn't make any sense to trade a young kid with a lot of potential who is already pitching well.

Stroman has been full value so far. Great series win and now an even more important series against the Yankees. Go jays!

Pretty good scenarios for the Jays today, with the Mariners and Orioles starting a four-game series:
- if Seattle wins, Jays and Yanks remain tied 0.5 games back for the wild card, but gain a game on Baltimore to be 2 games back for the division
- if Baltimore wins, Jays and Yanks are tied for the wild card, 0.5 games up on Seattle, remaining 3 back of Baltimore for the division
Phenomenal game all around for the Jays. Winners of 5 of 7 after the all-star game!

Jays trade Deck McGuire
to the Oakland Athletics for cash considerations.

Wasn't McGuire supposed to be like a sure thing with number 3 upside? For all the huffing and puffing about high level prospects only and stocking up on picks...their drafting has yet to really impress me too much. Stroman and Sanchez might change my mind yet. But I can see why you trade hyped players for what you know, especially in Baseball.

Really nice start to the game with Bautista hitting a 3-run home run on a 3-0 pitch.

Bad news: Buerhle gives up 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st.
Good news: Bautista hits another home run in the top of the 2nd to put the Jays up 4-2. Apparently all four of his career hits vs. Kuroda have been home runs.

Good grief. It's going to be one of those nights. Seriously. Ichiro hits a 3-run homerun after Beltran hits one. 6-4 Yanks.

Some bad fielding from the Yankees that inning allows the jays to take a 3-2 lead. Would have liked to have seen a few more runs cashed in there. Time to shut down the Yanks for the rest of the game!!

Would of also liked us to break the game open there. Our bottom of the line up is just really weak right now. It seems the top of the line up will get something going, and then the bottom can't capitalize. .

Tolleson has left a buttload of guys on base. Watching the bottom if the order is painful
