Just turned on the game and Arsenal already down 3-0 to Chelsea.
What a horrible call by the ref though in red carding Gibbs instead of Chamberlain.

Daniel Sturridge has revealed to the Daily Mail how former Liverpool striker Fernando Torres convinced him that moving to Anfield was the right choice.
"When we were at Chelsea together he would say, 'Liverpool are amazing'. It wasn’t just him -- it was Yossi Benayoun as well. They both said, 'That club is the best I have played for’.

from a piece by Daniel Taylor, who usually is very reliable:
Quote:
United are at least addressing the issue. This newspaper's information is that deals have already been provisionally agreed for two players in what promises to be an extensive recruitment programme over the summer. The club have deliberately tried to set up transfers six months in advance. Joel Glazer has been more hands-on than many people might realise, speaking to the executive vice chairman, Ed Woodward, three times a day on average from Florida and the club have been encouraged by the feedback from agents. Not once has there has been an indication that a player might be put off because of the prospect of playing in the Europa League next season.

my guess is that William Carvalho is one of them. Good that they are already planning for next season, but unfortunately that probably also means that Moyes' job is safe for now.

I hope so, but I still think City are far and away the favourites. It'll be hard for them without Aguero but I think they've got a decent run-in and 3 games in hand on Chelsea.

Garbage team and horrible fans on par with Prider and Canuck fans. No thanks.
Good to see they have no chance at winning now or any time in the future.

Well this feels strange, but....let's go United! Really need City to drop some points.

Yeah, but I dont think its going to go that way.
Moyes seems somewhat cheesed with Pellegrini....
Quote:
David Moyes has warned Manuel Pellegrini that his claim Manchester City are the biggest club in Manchester could come back to bite him ahead of Tuesday's derby.
"United had lots and lots of seasons of domination," Moyes said. "I don't think I would have turned around and said we were the only club in Manchester because football changes, it goes in cycles."
He said: "This club has a spending power, too. I've not been told at any time that they don't have that and I think the club will compete."
|
http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/17...-boast?cc=5901
Although those seem like fairly hollow comments. All sports go in cycles, this seems like United's downward cycle versus City's upward one. The bit about 'spending power' seems almost childish.
That said, I thought it was Mancini that said that City were the biggest team in Manchester?

United lucky to still have 11 men on the pitch after that Fellaini forearm smash.

maybe it's just me, but I didn't feel it should have been red. But Welbeck should have been sent off for that challenge.

No man, that was a deliberate forearm smash to the guy's face. I'll give the ref the benefit of the doubt but Fellaini did that entirely on purpose and should have been punted.
I must have missed the Welbeck challenge. I have the game on in my waiting room while I'm working in my office.
