I really hope they release a very in-depth video tour of the facility once it's complete. Looks like there's a ton going on in there, probably would take going to a handful of games to really notice everything.

A tour...hosted by none other than our very own Mackenzie Weegar!

Chop the number of toilets in half, double the number of urinals.
You'll make more money doing that - people will buy more beer instead of standing in the bathroom line.

You realize that it's not just men that go to hockey games? and that other events have a significantly different dynamic?

No I am a hermit. I am unaware of anything outside of hockey.

I hope the ceiling is not too high , I really like the atmosphere the low roof creates inside the Saddledome.

Designing the rink without the hockey fan first and foremost is a mistake. Taylor Swift (for example) will never play in this arena. It's beneath her.

I think the whole point of the flex is that depending the mens/womens washroom beside each other for hockey would have (pulling random numbers) would have a toilet split of 30 women/20 mens. The flex, by moving a wall/partition would change it to a 40/10 split.
I think that is a great method of utilizing toilets when the events change from hockey.

Again - have you never been to an outdoor music festival, or even a Stampede tent?
But it's not that hard to have clean washrooms anyway. People need work.

I find this idea that there are a lot of washrooms troubling.
Sure there are a lot, there's way more than code requires. But 'Are there a lot of washrooms'? isn't the proper question. The only question that matters is: Are there enough? And the answer to that based on the building's primary use is absolutely not. How they managed to get fewer in than the previous design is upsetting on it's own, but having fewer than Rogers Place is all we really need to know about the washroom situation.

I went to a Champion's League final and it had the cleanest most modern amenities. I was astonished.
Here in North America we're living in the Dark Ages...because we accept it.

It looks like there are four small unisex washrooms on the main concourse. I assume they'll be designated as "Family". They're quite big, but only have one toilet and one sink, so I don't think they'll get a lot of use other than by those who need them. They share a wall with the men's rooms, so I don't think we'll see many drunk men going in there to piss on the toilet seat.

Correct.
But the "flex washrooms will be assigned to be either Male or female, depending on the event, by opening or closing a door - and the signs will have to change somehow, likely some kind of digital signage.

Great rundown, thank you. I think the fact the 2nd level has just about the same kind of amenities as the main concourse will keep the crowds more spread out. This will be a large factor.
One thing I didn't think about was the Roughnecks. They got a bit left out. Will they reside in one of the Visitor spots (@Freeway)?

I hope the steps up the seating areas are cushioned. I tripped up the steps once and banged my knee on the next step. That really hurt. Badly.

Running water and soap rather than hand-sanitizer and a hole.

NLL / Visitor 1 would be the Roughnecks room presumably, and the visiting team would get an AHL Visitor/Tournament or WHL/Tournament dressing room. The Roughnecks practice off-site and given their schedule with players flying in, having a non-permanent space makes more sense.

My seats are right by the can. I leave during a commercial break and I'm back in my seat by puck drop. I never go during intermission.
